This tree actually turned out really great. I was super hesitant, just ordering it off. Amazon seemed a little weird, but I was so happy with how it arrived. His package neatly and the tree safe and well packed. I normally don't order plants online after having a few bad experiences but I've been wanting a Ginseng Bonsai for awhile now. So I took a chance and ordered this one, it was a great description of the plant and I liked what I had seen and the price wasn't bad either! When my Ginseng Ficus tree arrived, the idiot delivery guy brought it at night and without a notification my poor plant sat outside my door overnight! Thankfully here in Pennsylvania it wasn't too cold yet, but in the morning when I found it, it was cold. I quickly brought it inside and sat it by my oven which was warm from my baking. The plant sat there all day and by night it seemed fine. It was wrapped securely around the base with Saran Wrap to keep the soil in the small nursery pot,it was wet but not soggy for the trip to me. The plant hadn't been harmed by the cold because the box also had some stuffing inside to keep the plant from bumping around... I was so impressed by the quality and care given to the plant for its shipping, that I just ordered another one as a Christmas gift for a friend! Needless to say I'm very happy with this purchase, see my tree in the photo, it's been transplanted into a new pot by me and he is so handsome! Both the ginseng and the Azalea were perfect when they arrived. Lots of styrofoam peanuts, but they did protect the plants. They will be trimmed, and shaped and given to our son (and family) for a housewarming.

I am happy with the bonsai I received. It seems to be very healthy and it is going to be a lot of fun to care for, shape, and watch grow as time goes by. However, for others who are considering buying this, you should know that although the description says: "Brussel's Live Gensing Grafted Ficus Indoor Bonsai Tree - 7 Years Old; 10" to 16" Tall with Decorative Container, Humidity Tray & Deco Rock" - the plant that I was sent measures 5 and a half inches tall, not 10" to 16". I received only the plant, in a nice enough container, but no Humidity Tray, and no Deco Rock. It came with a welcome letter, which includes a number to call, but I have not received a reply to the message I left a couple of days ago. Ironically, the letter includes an offer to purchase a Humidity Tray. I had an appropriate container for that purpose, and made my own, but it would be nice to get all the items advertised, especially for so much money ($75 w/shipping). Still, overall, if you just want a nice healthy bonsai tree, this seems to be a good source. If all the items described had come with it, I would have given this purchase 5 stars. ... show more
