Well this little sweetie made it through the night. I think this is one tough little plant. Spending 5 days and nights traveling from Florida to Massachusetts in below freezing weather for a good portion of the journey. Then it was delivered at 5 pm and I didn’t notice until 6 pm that it was outside in 20 degree weather with a small tear in the packaging. I really was afraid that I would wake up and find it dead. But it is standing tall this morning. I didn’t give it a drink of water as the soil was damp. A very pretty plant. It is also very large. About a foot and a half tall. Loving Costa Farms and can’t recommend them enough! Bought from them for my first time this week and made three orders. Everyone of them were well packaged and beautiful, healthy plants. I was worried about ordering this ponytail palm because I am extremely picky about whether there is new growth and not wanting any brown tips. I am SO HAPPY with this purchase. It truly exceeded my expectations. They have the packaging down to a science, it was definitely packed with care. It needed water, which I put in the pot to get soaked up and it perked right up. It’s beautiful. Exactly 2 feet high from the bottom of the pot. (Nice quality pot) This is a gift for my niece and husband, I left the stick in and will pull the plastic wrap back over the dirt when they travel back home by car. I have a 20 foot pony tail palm in my yard, I call it the Dr Seuss tree. These palms are so fun to watch grow, you never know when a new shoot will decide to grow off it. They are self shedding too. Such a great gift, I already have a 2nd one I ordered on the way for my nephew as a housewarming gift. I originally ordered one for myself a few months ago and loved it so much I just sent one to my daughter as a Christmas gift. The plant is beautiful arrived quickly and she loved it. Unfortunately the gift card with the carefully selected words I chose for her didn’t arrive with the plant so she had no idea who sent it until I asked her if she had received it I ask that rhe company be more vigilant about how they send this especially if a customer goes through the trouble of sending it as a gift. We had a cold snap when this was shipped and I was worried the plant might freeze. However, they packaged it very well and even added a heated pouch to the box to keep it warm.
