It was quick to install and the item is remarkable It works so well and so easy to use I can't believe I went this long without owning this type of drain. It took me about 15 minutes to install I use plumber's putty around the lip of the drain and I only needed to use the drain without the adapter. Here's a tip when taking out the old drain if you have the style that has a cross at the bottom just use a pair of pliers on the long end that you grip you'll be able to turn the old one out without damaging anything if you need extra leverage you can even use a screwdriver to turn the pliers you don't need to buy the removal tool This does the same thing if you look on YouTube you'll be able to find a video of what I'm talking about how to remove the old drain This is good quality and the oil rub bronze seems to be Good quality that it won't fade or chip easily but time will tell The share fact that it is so easy to use it's worth it just to change it. I have zero leaks from the drain and from the overflow which is so easy to change but after you're done check for leaks to be sure so you don't ruin your ceiling below. I bought this for a leaking second floor tub. I got this, plumber’s putty and a thicker replacement gasket for underneath. I did not use the thin rubber gasket that comes with this, plumber’s putty all around it instead and also put Teflon tape on both sets of threads. Easy to install and so far seems to have completely eliminated the leak. Also the toe tap seal is working perfectly with no leaks either. ... show more

This only lasted 3 months before it startered entirely chipping. The black paint flaked all off and it looks like garbage. So very sad about this loss. Looked great at first. Not worth the money
