Additional comment: The catch net works too well. After a couple of months of use, I found it necessary to clean hair from the net at least weekly due to a gradual slowdown in drainage. I removed the net with a needle-nosed pliers and it now works great. Additional comment: The drain has a catch net for hair and soap residue. It will clog up over time. I have found that using a children's toothbrush is an easy way to clear it. A small toothbrush easily fits under the stopper and will collect hair, the main culprit. It beats having hair collect in the drain pipe. Easy installation. All metal construction and sturdy. High quality chrome so it looks great. No issues... Yet. I'm interested to see how it holds up over time. I have a black Kohler sink popup and in less than 6 months the paint has chipped off. (All black accessories are just painted...). I bought a delta brand kit and had to swap out the drain and overflow cover to match the bronze color. This looks good. Didn't need the adapter. I was able to use the gasket to replace the aging one under my tub but this was much thinner, I anticipate a leak down the line. Remember, the gasket does NOT go on the tub side, it goes UNDER the tub around the drain waste line. The only thing you need around this is plumbers putty between this kit and the porcelain tub, then screw into the threaded pipe. Addendum: The little hair catcher attached to the center screw is excellent. Really works well. Upgraded my rating to a 4. If they had a 4.5 I'd do it. ... show more

I chose to install these drains in both bathroom vanity sinks of in my two-sided duplex. The pop-up drain is attractive, effective and easy to use. It's much easier to install compared a drain opener/closer that has a "stick" that runs down from the faucet under the sink. That type is very hard to adjust from under the sink in a cramped, small vanity and has a tendency to come apart over time. These were my choice because of the feature of the removable hair trap. I just paid over $400 to a plumber who struggled several hours to clear a hair blockage in the drain between the two vanities. I hope to avoid hair blocks and the use of damaging drain cleaners, in the future. ... show more

Installation was simple, and I appreciate the concept of the drainage system, but it could use some improvement. It closes securely and retains water well, but when open, it doesn't stay up properly, causing it to fill while the water is running, which I find frustrating.
