The BRPOM Car Jump Starter is a prime example of the phrase, "Don't judge a book by its cover." My Cadillac had been neglected in the garage for months owing to a faulty alternator. Former efforts to jump-start the vehicle required bulky battery starters and extensive extension cords – a method that was both fatiguing and time-consuming. In spite of this, when I ultimately made the decision to test out the BRPOM Jump Starter, the effect was remarkable. Once linked and adjusted to blue, it promptly revived the inactive Cadillac, to my astonishment. The convenience this petite contraption provides is incomparable. The credit for my acquaintance with this game-changer goes to a friend who utilized it for his automobiles. Observing its functionality and the quickness with which it propelled his vehicles was a revelation. Despite my initial skepticism about its compact form factor, the device's performance and reasonable price convinced me to purchase one for myself. The jump starter's carrying case is a thoughtful detail, offering a precise storage solution for both the device and its accessories. The design of the device itself is a marvel of practicality. In addition to its voltage display, which is a highly practical characteristic, it also has a useful light that came in handy when connecting it in poorly lit conditions. While the in-built compass may seem like an odd extra (I have no immediate plans to use it for hiking), it lends a certain appeal to the overall design. The connector's compact size is a revolutionary aspect, in my view. It skillfully traversed the narrow space in my vehicle to create a connection, which was a substantial relief. The designers seem to have considered every detail to ensure that jump-starting a car is as uncomplicated as can be. To wrap things up, the BRPOM Car Jump Starter is a strongly suggested, economical, dependable, and user-friendly answer for jumpstarting your automobile.     • Plastic battery clip failed on 1st use--ETA: But the company replaced it!!!

The alligator clips are mostly made of plastic. Mine came apart at the hinge the first time I used it and allowed the spring tensioner to fly out. I was working in 2-1/2 feet of snow so the spring was gone forever. I ended up using a clamp from a different battery charger to hold the jump start clamp to the battery post so I wasn’t stranded, but it sure could’ve been a serious problem. I plan to work with Amazon and/or the seller to obtain a replacement part. I’ll update this review after I see how that process plays out. Otherwise, the actual battery pack worked very well. The battery in my Sequoia was dead dead and had been subjected to sustained temps well below zero. The battery is most likely ruined and was zero help in starting the V8 powered SUV. The SUV wouldn’t idle and kept dying, so I used this battery pack to start the vehicle AT LEAST a half-dozen times… and probably closer to a dozen times. It had all the power in the world and is still showing 4 blue dots of charge—full charge—a couple of days later. If I could find a good solution to the cheapie plastic alligator clamps, this thing would be an absolute winner. It just bums me out to spend money on a new product and then spend more money and time to fix what is probably 50 cents worth of parts if they were incorporated in the initial manufacturing process. UPDATED REVIEW AS OF 02-07-2023: I added a star because the seller replaced the broken clip and I'm back in business. It didn't take long for them to do it and I didn't have to argue with anyone to get it done. I really appreciate it when a seller will step up! Thank you!! I still won't give the full 5 stars because I think having plastic at the hinge point in the clip is a bad place to save money on the design. It's visible in the pictures so I guess I should have seen the potential flaw. In the end, I still have a very powerful/capable jumpstarting device, I'll just have to exercise extra caution now that I'm aware of its weak point. Not the end of the world! ... show more
