Our old broom handle broke in the middle so was looking for a replacement. This was under $20 and came with the dustpan that you don’t have to bend over to use and holy cow what a game changer. Big fan of this broom I felt like it picked up more dirt than my old one and the cat hair comes right off on the dustpan and the real kicker is it sweeps up cat litter like a dream into the dust pan without having to sweep it in there 3-4 times and still have some left in the floor nope this cleans it all up. ... show more

This is a good basic broom and dustpan set. Nothing amazing about it, but nothing wrong with it either. Very easy to assemble, buy screwing in the parts together. The rods with the black plastic ends go into the plastic ends on the broom and dustpan. Both the broom and dustpan can be height adjusted as there are three 16” rods and one 12” rod not counting the two rods with the handles. So the rods can be added, removed or swapped for the appropriate height. I was worried that this set may be flimsy, but I realized that it’s fairly sturdy after putting it all together and using it for two weeks. The broom does a good job sweeping and the rubber lip on the dustpan sits flat on the floor so nothing goes under ending up in the dustpan. The teeth do pick off pet hair and larger dust clumps off the broom bristles. The length of the bristles is barely over 3.5” which is enough for small debris. They are a good mix of soft and sturdy and not too springy, making them easy to sweep with. The two things that could be improved are “hinges” on the dustpan are a bit stiff and the “hanging hole” on the broom’s handle doesn’t line up well for hanging. I got this set to sweep around the cat’s litter box since the litter ends up all around. So far I’m happy with my purchase. ... show more

The package came with 6 poles to screw together for the set (3 for the broom, and 3 for the bucket). After initially using all 3 for the dust bucket, I decided that the handle was way too long, and 2 pole lengths were perfect. I am 6 feet tall for reference. My daughter who likes to clean is 5'4", and this is perfect for her too. I also used a metal glue on the inside threads of each piece to make sure the bucket or broom bristles don't break off, as another review had mentioned them breaking. Even before I glued it together, I feel it would take some harsh treatment to break off, but glued it anyway as a precaution. I bought this set and the glue at the same time. I decided to buy this set because it is so cute. The navy and light blues match my home decor(not just the crate! Ha ha!). Plus, the comb that rakes the hair off of the broom is truly delightful. I feel that this is very sturdy now, and a great addition to my cleaning routine. The bucket snaps into place, requiring pressure on the top of the bucket in order to open it to a vertical position. Before this, I had to bend down to collect the dirt. Not anymore!!!! 5 stars!!!! ... show more
