So I read the reviews, but you can't really see in the photos what you're getting. This is a hunk of MDF, which is so porous that you can't even paint the ugly off. On top is the thinnest piece of wood veneer that I've ever seen. I wanted to use this for something I was going to make and sell, but I wouldn't even keep it for myself. All four sides and the bottom are MDF showing. Only the top is the 'wood' - more like wood look. ... show more

I guess I didn't read the description enough. I searched for "balsa wood" and this came up to the top of the search page. I read the dimensions, and it fits the size I need to make some Parts I need for my RC airplanes. This is only an extremely thin wood veneer! It is probably only 1/64" wood. The rest is resin board that weighs a ton! It is definitely NOT balsa wood. It is definitely NOT for use in making model aircraft parts. ... show more
