I wanted to make a wall mural with "Scrabble tiles" for my Wrigley Rose and Rizzo Rose and these were perfect for my first Cricut project. I painted them black with dollar store paint and a dollar store paint brush then applied my vinyl. The transfer tape did take a little of the black paint off when I lifted it so I didn't use the transfer tape for any of the squares after the first one. But that little oops was easily fixed by dabbing a little paint back on. I still have a few squares left and figuring out what to do with them.     • Nice set of blanks, however size is not as quoted (AKA, perhaps unfinished size).

Bought these to create event mementos for the event planning team via CNC milling. The reported size in the description fit my existing engraving program, which was a plus-plus. The set is nicely packaged and looks nicely sanded, however the actual size required changes to my pre-built program. The thickness is listed as 0.1 inches, or what should be ~2.5mm. I check the thickness on receipt and the sample thickness readings varied from 2.20-2.25 mm thickness. So, I adjusted depth of cut for the reduced thickness and mounted one up for a test run. When the engraver bit ran off the blank at what should be one of the closest points near the edge, I stopped and checked the LxW dimensions and found that they are actually 100mmx100mm (~3-15/16in) instead of 102mmx102mm, so I'll need to further adjust my milling strategy to better center the sample or, perhaps better, create a new 100mm model & program. Relative to characteristics, the test blank seemed to be handling the engraving bit fine. This blank also absorbed my Walnut wiping stain fairly deeply, while my plan calls for a shallow penetration. Oiling the blank seemed to served as a effective method to reduce penetration. Both oiled and un-oiled portions of the test sample looked nice with the stain. So, trying to be fair, this is a nicely priced set of blanks, and seems to represents a good value. My only issue is that the description did not adequately represent the dimensions for this precise application, nor does the description give any reason to suspect dimensions will be other than as given.
