  • Good value
Good quality product. Easy to install. The backup camera wiring was a challenge but just takes time. The back up camera doesn't interrupt what is on the radio when you put the car in reverse. You have to go to it on the screen. Annoying. You can connect easily with bluetooth and the handsfree seems to work well. ... show more

  • Honored the warranty after 2 years!
I've had this product for two plus years, and it's worked great. I put it in a different car and it didn't play. I called for help and they had me send it for free to get it checked out and lo and behold they actually honored the warranty and sent me a new product! I don't think I've ever had that happen to me in my 65 years. Usually there's some kind of expensive catch that goes with the warranty. I'm so very happy. ... show more

  • Good entry level double-din stereo - Power ratings wildly exaggerated
This is my second purchase of this exact unit. Installed in a 2004 Trailblazer with Alpine replacement door speakers. This thing fits great and sounds good with a good array of features. The camera is crisp and the proximity lines are actually well calibrated. For the money it is a very good unit. However, the touchscreen is not very sensitive and is poorly calibrated. I found myself pushing repeatedly to get into the EQ settings and phone sync settings. Also, the power output is very, very exaggerated. The entire unit only has a 10 amp fuse. Best case scenario you are providing 14.4 volts x 10 amps = 144 watts. Subtract amplifier loss and the power required to drive the unit itself and you will see it is technically impossible to reach 80x4 with this thing. All that aside, it's feature rich, installs easily and is priced right. I'd buy it a third time. ... show more

  • Not thrilled
This is an example of you get what you pay for. I installed the radio in my regular cab 8 foot bed pickup and the wires for the backup camera were to short. The radio reception is fine for local stations but doesn't receive all the stations the stock radio did. The call quality is not good. Half the calls I'm on I need to take off the blue tooth because the person I'm speaking with can't hear me. Lastly the installation instructions are not clear. I called Boss and regarding the backup wire issue and was told I needed to order longer wires off Amazon. In a nut shell, the radio does what it's supposed to, it just doesn't do it well. ... show more

  • Good value update after having it for a while
Good value for the money. Volume rotary is slow to respond. Radio tuner seems weak. Bluetooth connectivity is seamless and good. Camera is pretty good update. the bluetooth is very unreliable. music skips. randomly it just shuts off and resets. will be contacting Boss to see about a different unit

  • For its price well worth it
I like the headset it links to my phone easily. I use hands-free calling regularly for my job, people seem to have no trouble hearing me. I haven't hooked up the parking brake wire so I can't rate the DVD. The only problem I have is once every week or two when I shut the car off the next time I start it the headset is off when I turn it on the clock and preset radio stations are cleared. It doesn't do this while driving even if I hit pothole so it's not a loose wire. But it's not a major issue since the Bluetooth link to my phone syncs back up. ... show more
