Great looking mantel, finish is matte. Took me all of 10 min to have it hung up. Install is super easy, find the center point of where you want to hang it, put the metal bracket center point hole on that spot. Mark your other mounting holes, pre drill holes, hammer in anchors where the holes don’t line up with the studs, screw the metal bracket to wall and slide the mantel on. It tightens to the metal bracket with set screws on the underside. Super easy to put on and take off it needed. Tip: if using the anchors, make sure to keep turning the screw in the anchor until you feel it get tight. Most people don’t screw into the anchor long enough for the plastic to pull back behind the drywall to really anchor it. It will feel like you are just spinning the screw freely then it will grab. Took one star away for the packaging. I feel it could be packaged slightly better to help eliminate FedEx or ups damaging the box along the way. ... show more

Used this as the mantel for my new shiplap fireplace. Overall, happy with it. It does have some character with knot holes, etc. but I like the color and style, size, etc. My installer had no issue with it & got it up in 10 minutes. One complaint I did have was that this was shipped via USPS - who refuses to deliver to my home. So as it's rather heavy, I had to have a guy go with me & get it from the post office and it needed to also be in a truck as it was nearly 6 ft long. I have complained repeatedly to logistics, but it makes little difference... ... show more

Our Den/Family Room had a focal point - a fireplace. Unfortunately, the Fireplace was outdated and looked bad. We used AirStone stone veneer to give it a new look. The outcome was everything we hoped for, but the finishing touch was finding the right mantel. BoscoMondo, Solid Rustic Wood was a better than perfect solution! There are a variety of colors and sizes. We chose the Gray 48-inch Mantel, and it really makes the Fireplace "pop!" Easy to install and sturdy as well. After purchasing a 54' black mantel, I thought it'd be a little smaller than my 55' tv, thought I'd have to return it.. it actually is just a couple hairs longer than my TV and just beautifully crafted. Excellent buy 👌🏼

I used two for our bar and they look great! They are substantial and add a touch of rustic to our kitchen. Easy to install. They are solid, so be ready to have help if you buy the longer length. They are a mix of dark grey and black/brown.
