This is a handcrafted hollow fireplace mantel. Our mantels are hand-made with love and passion. These mantels are as beautiful as they are useful, robust, light, and elegant. The distressed look is achieved by hand with attention to detail. As a result, no two beams are the same and your beam will be one-of-a-kind. Dimensions may vary slightly from selected, due to the nature of the wood and the time effect on it. We use pine boards for our distressed mantels. The final product might appear a bit lighter or darker because of the lighting and nature of the wood.

I couldn’t find reviews of people using it just as a shelf so wanted to be sure to come back and leave a review. Not just a mantle. :) It looks great above the couch. The mounting on this big one was so easy and not complicated at all. The way it’s mounted it will hold a substantial amount of weight. We drilled the mounting ledge into the studs. It’s not overly heavy. Great craftsmanship and looks like it is real reclaimed wood. Perfect and exactly what we wanted. Would buy again for another area of the house as well. I love this mantle! It’s a beautiful warm, chocolate brown with a bit of golden undertones. No red undertones, which I appreciate. It has just enough distressed areas to look rustic. The corners are joined together nicely, there are no gaps or obvious seams showing. It is well-made and looks amazing above my fireplace. Overall, this is a beautiful mantle for the price. The mantle is well built, looks much more expensive, and appears like a solid piece of wood from a distance. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and appearance. We also had a slight delay with shipping that was going to impact our project. I contacted Urbandi (also spoke to a real human) and they shipped the product next day in order to keep our project on track. A+ customer service experience. Read a lot of good reviews and decided to purchase. Did not disappoint! Very sturdy. Pretty easy to install. Color spot on. I got the gray color. Super happy with purchase. We did end up using longer screws than the ones they gave us, but no big deal.
