In the past I've had retention issues. I had heard that the Born Pretty dehydrator and primer play well with other brands and I tend to be a bit of a brand whore, love trying new ones out. I'm not sure how many uses I'll get but seems like the small amount I used will go a long way. This is my 1st time trying dehydrator and primer and it worked great! I've paired it with polygel to do my nails and they lasted for a week with a very good grip! Very minimal lifting by the cuticle. But that's probably because I've only done my nails a handful of times so I'm no professional. I think they'll last longer then a week but I started taking mines off to change colors. But definitely worth buying 🙌🏼 ... show more

I tried to return/exchange this gel nail set for a new one, but Amazon doesn't allow returns for certain chemical products including this one. The shiny top coat (the one I preferred) leaked all over, and had a little left. The seller doesn't sell or swap out the top coat separately. Overall, this is a fun kit to use and saves 💸 on getting gel sets done at the 💅 salon. Pretty pinkish colors...I used them for a string of wedding events. I'll use them again I'm sure. I ended up buying OPI's shine gel top coat and it worked fine. I bought another set at the same time for part of my sister-in-law's bridal shower gifts. She has her nails done frequently and appreciated it at gift-opening. ... show more

I just had a baby so obviously can’t go get my nails done whenever I feel like it. I researched dip kits and landed on this one… it’s awful. I’ve used it 3 different times just to rule out user error, and the results have all been the same: this polish not only peels off super easily (like where I can see a side coming up and know it’s about to come off) but also just fully falls off without me even knowing. Every time I lose at least 2 fingers worth of paint, and by day 2-3 there’s maybe 1-2 left lol. It’s so horrible and such terrible quality. Oddly my first time using it I forgot the base coat on one hand, and that hand held on longer🥴 This is way too time consuming to do several layers and UV light for them to just fall off so quickly. The final product is very soft. I can’t even return this lol so it’s just going to be trashed I guess. I advise choosing a different brand, because this one is not it. So over all the product is great I wish it came with more nail clips but whatever. The light never worked I had to run to my mom’s house with the product on my nails to cure them. I should have made sure it worked but Thats on me. I love how it came out! I never really do my nails at home and it was super simple to do. It’s important to not apply a lot of product and make sure you brush it out over wise it gets stuck under your nail. I like the over all look and hardness of the nail itself! 100% recommend getting if this is something your looking into but get a different UV light and possibly more nail clips. ... show more
