But since I did not receive the base, the top is completely useless. I was offered a 50% discount to keep the top which was so ridiculous. What on earth am I going to do with just the top and why would I pay around $70 for a useless table top. This is the 2nd table I received that was damaged or missing pieces. I guess whatever genius fulfilled the order didn't pay attention to the giant letters and numbers that said "BOX 1 OF 2". Unless you receive 2 boxes, don't bother opening up this item. It took me awhile to find a table tall enough to fit our bar stools. This one popped up and I thought, why not? It didn't look cheap and when it arrived I was beyond pleased. When you open the box you instantly know the quality by being able to smell the real wood smell(not the cheap press board stuff), don't worry it fades within the first day.
