    • Functional but Flimsy
I've had these for 2 years. They keeps in moisture, and get a great rate of germination with the heating pads, but after owning this for 2 full growing seasons, I have to say the trays don't hold up well at all. One of the green plastic trays broke in the corner, which completely ruins the water-retention. Every single clear cell tray that holds the dirt is crumpled and squished after 2 seasons of using them once or twice per year. These won't hold up and are pretty much a 1-3 time use before they fail. Overall I would recommend this to someone looking to start a hobby and not super invested yet in gardening. If you need something reliable that you know you will for sure be using 2+ years, look elsewhere. ... show more

Bought these just for the heat mats so I could continue to garden indoors throughout the winter. There is no temperature control or regulation, simply plug in. Not even an on/off switch. Heat output is so minimal, when I touch it, I can barely tell it's on and some spots are just cold so the heat distribution is bad as well. This came with two heat mats so I thought maybe one was just broken (it happens) but BOTH are crap and don't work as advertised. Definitely want my money back for this one. I was surprised at how sturdy this tray was. It easily held up to carrying 16- 20 squash plants in 4” pots. The humid dome is sturdy and easy to utilize. I prefer having the taller dome to allow more plant growth. I do wish the little cells were in groups of 6 rather than 12. Also, they did not fit well with other size cells. Maybe not a big issue for some but it was annoying when I needed to rearrange some for lighting or humidity needs. ... show more
