  • Well worth the move to drop stitch tech
Excellent drop stitch all around kayak. -Stable, well constructed, fairly fast. -Stability: a little more stable than a hardshell kayak. -Much faster than ANY inflatable kayak as it's drop stitch. Feels like a hybrid or paddle board with seats. -Can handle lots of weight easily. Lots of compliments waterside. The unit it's well worth the purchase. I'd suggest upgrading the seats, paddles & pump. The bag is fine. I use drop stitch seats as well. The unit appears to hold well over 500 pounds with zero issues. Tracks very well & inflates/deflates fairly quick as the chambers (3) are all smaller than say, a paddle board. ... show more

  • I can't give it a 5 (yet), but after I get a chance to hit the water I will follow up.
I was (pleasantly) shocked by the size once inflated. I was also very surprised how quickly it was to fill up. Then came the pack-out weight, and it's heavy. Worse yet is the absolute garbage bag/backpack that they send with it. It is a soft and pretty thin nylon bag with a zipper I'm expecting not to last more than a couple of trips. There are two main complaints I read prior to my purchase. 1. The paddles. 2. The Seats. To me the paddles seem passable, but I also ordered a 92" carbon fiber replacement ahead of its arrival. I will keep them and hold them as backup. The bottom of the seats are nice and thick, and they separate from the back (which is a benefit). The backs are absolute garbage, with no vertical support, and the only support is from the two straps that hold the backs vertical to the boat. Knowing that very few people liked the seats, I decided to also order a Travel Larry Chair ahead of its arrival. My plan is to cover the bottom aluminum bars of the seat with pool noodles, and buy 4 straps to hold the seat both forward and in reverse. I can't give the total package a 5 star upon initial inflation and it as a total package. The backpack needs to be made from the same coated material they use on the boat. Additionally the shoulder straps also need more padding due to the pack-out weight. Even with the additional $200 for the upgrades, it is still less than half the price of a competitive Bote, also made in China. ... show more

  • Great boat for the money
I found that this boat did well with me, 220 lb, and my 60 lb dog. Paddling at a gentle Pace. We went three plus miles per hour, four plus miles per hour at a moderate pace, and five plus miles per hour at a heavy pace. I only aired up each chamber to about 8 psi because at this this pressure the boats seem perfectly rigid. The seats didn't offer any back support, but at this price point they are comfy enough. Much better than the inflatable ones. I tied the boat on the roof of the vehicle to get it to the lake, deflated on the way back. If I sit with my knees off the edge of the boat and my feet in the water, the boat is still stable. The boat hooks in to one side or another. Sometimes when you are going fast. This behaves like a lot of pirogues, flat bottom canoes, that I've used in the past. I did not use the big skeg. Sometimes with these sort of hulls you have to paddle a few times on one side or the other to even out the direction and keep straight. I'm surprised that this boat mimics a traditional boat. I guess that's a testament to how stiff it is. ... show more

  • Very portable and easy to inflate.
We've had our kayak out a couple of times so far and have enjoyed it. Presently, we are away from our home for several months and don't have access to our regular kayaks. We are also living in a small apartment and don't have much room to store our toys. This kayak looked like it would meet our needs so we purchased it in hopes we could use it on weekend excursions to local lakes and rivers. It inflates moderately quickly and feels very firm when inflated. Everything you need to get out on the water is included except for your own PFD's (life jackets). It was not quite as stable in the water as our hard body kayaks but they were also a bit wider than this inflatable. After a couple of minutes of floundering around on the lake when we first launched, we got our groove on and managed to cooperate with our paddling. I found the kayak tracked quite well for us. The footrests were a bit cramped for my 6'-1" frame sitting in the rear of the kayak but it worked. The kayak folds down to a compact size which allows us to transport it in our SUV easily. I did purchase the Amazon 2 year extended warranty in the event we have any issues. So far, so good! ... show more

  • It looks great
The kayak looks very good, I love the color and the material appears to be strong and durable. It has a lot of space for two big adults or two adults plus a child. It is very easy to inflate or deflate. I have not us it yet and I will update my review probably after Summer.

  • Boat is good, accessories are useless.
I like the boat itself, it is pretty stable and seems well built. The accessories are all garbage. The seats have no back support and the padding is too soft. The foot holds are useless.

  • Great boat but useless seats!
I had this kayak delivered to the lakeside lodge where I was staying which worked out great but the seats were useless. The boat over all is great but the seats are not for adults and there's no back support what so ever. I think the kayak has average stability and tracking but I might add a second fin in the center. The pump is a ok and the boat is easy to pump up. The paddles are your cheap average alloy tubes but I would upgrade to carbon/kevlar. I might return it if I can't find better seats. ... show more

  • The boat is great, features not so great.
The boat is great! I have been wanting an inflatable kayak that is just as rigid as the inflatable paddle boards. Note though that the boat is great, the features (seats, paddles) are terrible. It will be easy to update those. The seats come with a cushion that will elevate you up and it makes the boat super shakey. We removed the cushions and that fixed that issue. The seats themselves terrible, they supper maybe … maybe! An inch of your bum. I’ve got better paddles and better seats and it works great. I’m happy with the boat. But know if you’re buying, you’ll need to update the other equipment and you’re buying this for the boat. ... show more
