I rotate between Bondi Sands milk lotion and also Hempz golden tanning... BOTH are great lotions to use daily through the year and to also extend your tan during the summer. I always COME BACK TO Bondi Sands. I am naturally olive skinned, and it doesnt take long for me to get a good base tan in the sun. I can be outside for any amount of time and turn 10 shades of brown lol Once I get my base tan, I use Bondi Sands to keep and maintain my tan all year round. But I stay super SUPER dark in the summer. It does not streak. It blends and absorbs well. No sticky feeling. Color for me develops within a couple hours. Does not stain or transfer to clothes. I do wash my hands after application out of habit, but have never ever had my hands or feet discolor. My skin stays soft but usually by end of day I end up applying a secondary lotion for added moisture. Little goes a long way! I will buy another bottle! Thank you!! ... show more

I don't spend nearly as much time in the sun as I used to, much to the joy of my dermatologist. But I still like to look like I do. This product allows me to do that. Builds a gradual natural looking tan that can be maintained at whatever level you choose. Very nice!

It smells very metallic when it’s first applied & for the first few hours. I put it on after I shower before bed & let it sit overnight. Then I workout in the morning & wash off in the morning & it leaves a nice tan. Careful with the knees & ankles, like every other self tanner out there. I use the tanologist gradual on my knees & ankles as a barrier & 2 pumps of product on each leg & I wake up with an even, pretty tan. I only use self tanner on my legs so 1 bottle lasts me a month so I’m good with it being on the subscription. I rotate between this & the b.Tan spray because it has green in it to cancel out when I get too orange from this. If you’re of Mediterranean decent or similar & already have an olive complexion, this will work great for you without the need for another product to cancel out the orange since the natural undertones will already balance it out. I have Scandinavian descent so I’m just translucent. So pale I look sickly 😂 hence why I need both products to balance out. I don’t have the patience to do the express tans and then shower it off an hour later or whatever, I just use this & I put it on like regular lotion. First off... I am not pale, I'm clear, can see every vein, so this gave me a lot of color. Rubbed in smooth without being oily or sticky. Slight odor but nothing like normal self tanner smell. Not as "orange" as other lotion tanners which I greatly appreciate. This also helps blend out the heavy duty self tanners. Works well on trouble spots like hands, elbows, knees, etc. Just make sure you use wipes on your palms after rubbing it in... it will develop on the palms if not careful!     • A little underwhelming

It works, but I kind of hoped it would be darker. This is probably the lightest/mildest tanning lotion I've ever used. If you're looking for something very subtle, this is your product! Just not personally what I was hoping for. Otherwise, the application is good; a little goes a long way, and as long as you have a good application technique, it'll be pretty even. The smell is pleasant - like a mixture of chocolate and coconut. The only area that became a little splotchy and oversaturated was my toes. I use a makeup brush (blush brush) to apply the product to my hands and feet and go very lightly on my fingers and toes (and my fingers were fine), so again, not sure what happened there, but it could be user error. I decided to start skipping my toes after my third application and they look okay now. Oddly, it seems like it really does not want to stick to my shins, and I know you're probably thinking that's probably because of shaving, but it sticks to my arms better than anywhere on my body and I shave those more often than everywhere else. Very weird, but I'm going to assume that's probably due to some unknown thing that I'm doing. Zero patchiness with fading, though I may be applying it too often to give it a chance to fade. I shower every two days and applied this every other day. If it was applied not on a shower day, I dry brushed my body first. Do not apply this to your face, it will dry it tf out. It does not dry the skin on my body out, but it was so drying on my face I swear it temporarily gave me new wrinkles. Can't explain that either 🤷♀️. After 4 full body applications, I am ~⅔ of the way through the bottle, so assume you'll get around 6 full body applications from it. A little does go a long way but you're still using a lot of product at a time. It goes quicker than you expect. I have had zero issues with this color transferring to anything but skin! My boyfriend helped me apply it to my back, with gloves, and he still managed to get a noticeable streak on his arm and thigh somehow, lol. However, I do not wear many white clothes nor do I have light sheets. My sheets are brown, and all the underwear and pajamas I wore after applying this (and standing naked for ~5 minutes to let it set) were dark in color. Lighter colors worn the day after application saw no transfer. YMMV. Overall, I was not wholly dissatisfied with this product but I will not be buying it again. I am a regular self tanner and I have bought this product 6 times because I am so obsessed! The smell is great, but its worth it for the product. It smells mostly like a cocoa butter lotion. It's easy to apply. It's buildable. It never streaks. Keeps my skin moisturized. Its the very best!

While this lotion is on the more thin side, the moisture level is good for normal skin. The color develops evenly (just remember to wash your cuticles and palms). Would recommend to anyone who is needing some color (especially on their hard to tan legs and feet).
