I am a self-tanner enthusiast and have tried many different kinds, from high-end to drugstore brands. This Jergens wet skin has made it to my top 3, Maybe even top 2. The good: It is so easy to apply! I am already in the habit of applying moisturizer all over before getting out of the shower - so there was no extra step! And while there is a faint self-tanner smell, it is definitely not the worst. I did not even feel compelled to shower the next day as I do with other self-tanners. The so/so: I did notice it does not quite have the staying power of my very favorite (tan towels or the tan lux—the one that you mix in with lotion), but it is so easy to apply that I am willing to overlook that. Also, don't get carried away, because it kind of acts like a lotion in the shower, and use too much in the creases of your wrists and elbows, as it will settle in, and you won't notice until the tan develops. I have irish skin and I'm very pale so I always need something in the summer to bring me back to life. This is where Jergens wet skin comes into play. I love how easy it is to put on after the shower and even with the medium/deep tan I don't feel like its TOO much its just the perfect amount to use every other day to keep it up. I honestly have never found a tanning solution better then this. I never can find my color at the store so here we go online shopping. I use this right after my shower before I even get out. I tape to dry ( kind of a b***h ) then I only use it 3-4 times a week depending on how much I shower. I use lotion on the days I don’t use this. Never get on my clothes or bedding I can sweat and do whatever and stay looking like a snack :) ... show more

I gave 3 stars because it’s good for the arms but the legs streak so bad! It stained my fingernails and hands even after scrubbing as well. I was really disappointed based off the other reviews I thought it was going to be my ongoing subscription. Had to cancel. Solid no for me. But it doesn’t smell bad so that’s a plus ... show more

This self-tan shower lotion is fantastic. After a good base tan in spring, it can be used every day for a glow and to darken tan. I really love this stuff. I used to be an avid sun worshiper. stopped because he started getting concerned about what was doing in my skin and I have a bit of sun damage from all the laying out I did on my chest and shoulders, and I wanted to find a sunless tanning crane that looked really natural that could kind of blend away the sun damage, and maybe spot touch a little on my face if I wanted some color on my cheeks, my nose, my forehead, to make it sort of look like I was in the sun without continuing to lay in it and I love this because as soon as you get out of the shower I just pat dry a little bit and then apply this just one coat. TIP make sure when you get down to your knees and calves that you apply kind of in like circular or back-and-forth motions as well as up-and-down because that’s the only place when you really apply self tanner that it can tend to get streaky, but if you do kind of circular, massaging back-and-forth, up-and-down, round and round motions on the knees and calves down to the feet area, then it blends nicely for my face. I just kind of put it on my fingertips and go cheeks, temples up above eyebrows, and a little bit right in the middle of my eyelid where I would put eyeshadow and touch on the bridge of my nose and it really gives you a Sunkiss look last for probably two weeks and when it fades it just fades delicately you don’t have this blotchy fake fade. Also. It doesn’t look like that silly orange I go medium light in this and it looks really natural and if you want to go slightly darker, you can add another coat but I don’t think it’s necessary because it just brings your natural skin color down about two shades, and smooth out the skin, I put it on in the morning after a shower. I leave it on for probably four or five hours and then I rinse it off. Have to get out of the shower if you put on your clothes it won’t stain at all.
