I highly recommend using these with the smart life App. It is super easy to pair these. Just hold the button until it starts blinking then press the (+) button in the app and it finds these instantly!!! It works so much easier and faster than trying to add a smart bulb!!!!!!!! Setting schedules is very easy and while i haven't done it yet this is supposed to be able to link up with the information received from other smart devices in the app such as a humidity/temperature sensor to turn this on or off which would allow turning heat lights or humidifiers on and off for a terrarium. I'm hoping to test that out shortly. though i will probably hook that into a second thermometer set slightly higher in case of a failure. ... show more

My first time using a wifi/smart timer- the setup was a little difficult given I had to set up the 2.4 GHz wifi before even having a chance of getting them paired to my phone. I had to try numerous times to get them both set up, but eventually they work! The only issue is that only one lamp cuts on in the morning, but both will turn off with the timer. The one that won’t turn on in the morning has a “touch to power”, whereas the other is a manual switch(like a switch on the wall). From my understanding, you’ll need a device with a manual power control because the electronic one gets “shorted”. They were also a TIGHT squeeze on top of each other. It all works how it should but it sucks that it won’t work for the specific device i bought it for! Hope this info helps someone else but all in all, device works how it claims!! ... show more

I was first frustrated after hours of not being able to connect these to my WIFI network. During the return process the video showed a different way to connect. Normal connection is with EZ mode, switch to AP MODE. The plug is wonderful, great - BUT I gave it a 4, maybe should have been a 3) due to the Instructions. In my opinion the instructions are terrible. The pictures in the instructions do not look remotely like the plug. Also, I felt the instructions were not clear. I like how these plugs can be used for both sockets in a single outlet unit, but when communicating over my network these plugs make very audible noise. That can get a little annoying and makes me a bit weary. They make a loud click noise when turning on and off, but that's just the relay and that's normal. ... show more
