Got one a while ago to keep my plants warm in the Minnesota spring and I’ve got to say it’s durable and well made plastic! Slap some velcro on both sides so they don’t have to be taped to stay around a jar and it would be perfect!!

Last year it too FOREVER for my sweet potatoes to start growing, and I had heard that they are warmth loving plants so I should start them on a warming mat. This year, because it was supposed to take 8 weeks or more to get them ready to plant, I started mine at the beginning of February. By the end of February, I had a jungle; so much so that I had to clear out the larger plants and get them into water to establish more roots. The picture above is those same sweet potatoes putting out even more slips, which will definitely be making their way to friends and family because I have so many already! Really, this mat is a game changer if you are growing warmth loving plants - I already plan to buy another mat for next year! ... show more
