I love how it feels and looks and how compact and small it is. With ram speed of base 4400mhz I am curious on the air flow.. while charging it get extremely hot from the back but I don’t see any vents or hear any fans, which can be detrimental… but I am still reviewing this device … I’d say 4.5 for now until otherwise .. ... show more

    • The worst laptop
If I can leave no star I would. That’s the worst laptop I ever get. Type C suddenly doesn’t work in the middle work. After charging it takes forever to turn on n off on the button. Manufacturer never reply even with 90Days warranty.

This machine is amazing. Upgraded to Windows 11 (it took a few weeks before I got the upgrade notification). I did dual boot to install Linux Ubuntu and Windows, and both work great, all drivers worked for both operating systems. This is the best value & quality touch screen computer with 8gb RAM you can get. I'm using it as a wireless surround audio system via bluetooth on ubuntu and it does the job I'd expect. ... show more

I got this BMX 13 in January 2023 and the only complaint I have is the USB C Port stopped working almost two weeks in. My fault that I didn’t follow up with support. But listen. This does just about everything my Apple MacBook Air. I stupidly have, dropped it, knocked it off the table, spilled on and I can’t say enough about the durability of this Windows 11 laptop. I think I got a deal on Amazon for $299.00. It’s incredible for the money for kids, students, gaming, movies and so much more. I say do it! ... show more

    • Test type C charge port BEFORE loading and personalizing the computer.
The c charge port (by the dc charge port) didn't work on my y13 and I didn't find this out until after it was all loaded up with settings and personal data. If I had known I would have returned immediately. But finding out after makes a big hassle. Otherwise I LOVE this laptop. Nice screen, good specs, windows 11 pro installed, all with Chromebook equivalent pricing. They offered help and a discount to buy a second dc charger so that I could plug in at work too. Not perfect (the dc charge port could stop working and I'd be stuck) but acceptable to avoid the hassle of returning, waiting and reloading everything, not to mention being vulnerable since just resetting to factory specs doesn't completely remove saved data. I gave 4 stars because I really love the computer and customer service was good, but quality control was lacking since I'm not the first to have this problem. ... show more

The display was crisp, vibrant, and beautiful. That is until the left side went dead during an update. The picture did end up coming back, but with a flicker in the picture. It would be an intermittent problem. and eventually the full screen would come back. It is a light, manageable computer with a well back-lit keyboard. However the keyboard did not deactivate even when you'd turn it over to be a tablet and hit the keyboard lock function key. So if you are to set it on your lap, and tap somewhere to type you'd immediately get a giant scrambled text line going. There are no internal fans so the shell did get very warm really early on. Not to the point where it was unbearable, but still very warm. I will say that I REALLY wanted to love this laptop. On paper it had plenty of power and speed for what I needed it for. It was beautiful and sleek/thin..but I did have problems after the first couple hours of use with the processing speed, and I found myself running into roadblock after roadblock and that was with me doing minimal personalization and just in settings messing around. It was rather frustrating after a while, but when I finally got to streaming video, the picture quality lived up to expectations and more with! 2k streaming quality. I found myself easily engrossed in the shows/movies I was watching, and was able to look past the flaws momentarily. A few last notes though.. the hinge on the right side was loose and made for awkward flipping back and forth, the usb-c charging port did not work out of the box, and the processing speed became such a chore that no matter how nice the videos looked while streaming I could not look past it piled on with the other issues. Other issues including the battery. On a full charge it left me with 2 hours and 20 minutes of use, and at time the touch screen would not be very responsive at all. Kind of laggy. Overall like I said I really wanted to love this laptop. It was a great price especially with the $100 off coupon. On paper it was spec'd decently, and like I said it is a beautiful laptop with a nice bright screen, comfortable keyboard, and a nifty little logo on the back. (Good for conversation starters at a cafe about an off brand underdog laptop) however it never made it that far. I returned it and I won't be looking back. I do however feel like maybe it could have been a fluke, and maybe I just got a lemon. It happens. I hope that other people who get this computer have better luck and get the full capability out of the machine. I hope this review helps with the good, the bad, and the ugly of this machine, and my personal experience! -cheers! ... show more
