Should I Buy It?

Overall, the product definitely offers great value-for-money, especially for those who want top performance for gaming, video editing, or other intensive tasks. Do take note of the loud fan noises and make sure you're comfortable with the complexity of potential part upgrades. It's a great pick for tech-savvy users and serious gamers looking for good longevity and functionality at a reasonable price.

  • Great laptop.

Still using it with 0 issues. One of the best laptops I've had.

  • It's pretty good
Style: Notebook only
I have been using this laptop for a week and honestly find it pretty good. I went through a lot of reviews before making my decision and wanted to add my own for anyone thinking of buying this. PROS: -The screen is really vibrant. I haven't noticed any screen bleed or dull colors and the refresh rate is great. -The laptop stays very cool* under heavy gaming. -It's really snappy and responsive. I haven't noticed any lag. -The touchpad is very responsive and easy to use. -The keys are slightly raised and feel a bit soft but in a good way. They're pleasant to type on and it wasn't hard to adjust to this smaller layout from a wider desktop keyboard. CONS: -The fan is loud when gaming. Like, really, really loud. It might be jarring if you're coming from a desktop. -Battery life is pretty bad and the performance decrease when not connected to a charger is not extreme, but noticeable. NOTES: -As the other reviews have said, you need to press the power cord in and hear it click twice. -If you downgraded to Windows 10, you'll want to redownload the relevant drivers from Acer's website. I had to redownload the touchpad and io drivers to get mine working again. -You'll also want to redownload Nitrosense if you downgrade. You can use it to toggle on coolboost which keeps the laptop extremely cool. You can also allegedly use it to lower the speed of the fans but I didn't notice a reduction in fan noise so I decided to keep it on coolboost. All in all? The cons are pretty minor compared to the pros. I got it for a little under 800 dollars and consider that to be a steal. ... show more

  • Great for the price
Style: Notebook only
Got this for my daily usage and casual gaming and I'm very pleased with it. I'm not sure how it holds up for mmorpg and intensive online gaming, but it's worked fine for me for single-player games. I played all of Baldurs Gate 3 on this laptop (single-player only), and while the laptop ran super hot, I had fun playing the game and experienced no lag. I did have to get a separate laptop fan, tho--without it, I wouldn't trust the laptop to hold up. It risked overheating and the screen flickered. This shouldn't be surprising given the laptop's specs, tho. You get what you pay for. And like I said, it ran fine with the laptop fan. It definitely needed to be plugged in tho; without that, the battery would die in about half an hour or so. Overall, great value! Perfect for a casual gamer who doesn't want to spend crazy $$ or build their own machine. ... show more

  • Smooth running pc but keep power plugged in
Style: Notebook only
Got this pc for my wife and daughters to replace a very old laptop. This one runs very smooth, fast and with good video quality. Audio/sound/speakers are a little soft even when turned all the way up but not that big of a deal for our needs. Laptop camera is good and it's nice to have the various USB ports and connect to wifi. Runs programs, websites and games with easy. Fans do an awesome job keeping it cool. The Nitrosense feature is cool too. Note... you will need to keep the power cord plugged in. Battery life if low and drains fast. When plugged in there are no issues. Only downside/con is the battery life. But if you keep it plugged in, no issues. Overall a very good laptop. ... show more

  • MANUFACTURER RUSH JOB.. READ ALL
Style: Notebook only
Unless you are an advanced PC user, and know how to designate your graphics card as primary as the VERY first power on, and know how to get all the settings where they need to buy... then DONT BUY.. they didn't think this one through. I'm an acer fan and computer technician who also builds custom PCs, Acer dropped the ball. The program is shotty, it didn't even handle APEX Legends for more than 3 matches before Apex shut it down. The specs seem like a good option, yeah, for solitare and watching YouTube, but they need to chose better programmers, and designers. The fan option is great without having to use downloaded software, the screen is wonderful, but the integrated graphics and having to switch it manually to the GPU was a pain, not to mention, you have to update NVIDIA BEFORE ALL updates, if you don't, you will not be able to update and need a fresh start to fix. Mind you, you needed all this info BEFORE you just buy, and this info isn't listed as a tagged warning on their website. Either stand behind your product or remove it from the market and upgrade another 2 PCs.. ya know? ... show more

  • Decent laptop
Style: Notebook only
I haven't found any real problems with this laptop yet, has a program mapped to a key that allows you to change the mode from battery saving to optimal performance which is really handly. The same program has other features like allowing you to manually control the speed of both of its 2 internal fans (one for cpu and one for gpu). Awesome little laptop for its price point, great for all around use and runs most games at max settings with decent frame rate. Definitely worth the money to me. ... show more

  • Storage expandability, average Battery, bright Screen, powerful gpu and cpu
Style: Notebook only
Powerful CPU (intel i7 11800h) and gpu (nvidia 3050 ti). Stays cooler than my 8th gen intel . Expandability is excellent with one nvme gen 4 (see attached photo with specs), one nvme gen 3 and sata hard disk. You can also upgrade ram to 64giga but is overkill, 2X16 is more than enough. Monitor model is Chi Model Mei [CMN1521] N156HRA-EA1 with Brightness 306 cd/m2, sRGB 66%, No PWM (Flicker-Free), Panel Type IPS, Contrast 1480:1. In other words, is pleasant in the eye but not suitable for photo editing. Anyway at this price range it’s difficult to find a photo editing monitor at 99% srgb. In my case this isn’t a problem since I use an external monitor connected through the hdmi or the thunderbolt 4 port at 4k 60hz. Battery is average. Audio is mediocre. All in all: it’s a bargain! Style: Notebook only
Snagged this on a black friday deal 2 years ago. Bottled it up and threw everything at it, at once, it is still asking for more to this day! Used for gaming. Laptop makes snarky comments at me when mundanely checking emails.
