  • Wonderful Power Station, LiFePo4 battery, powerful
Style: BLUETTI EB70S
Pros: Small, lightweight, powerful - 700W, 716Wh, well made, best of all: a LiFePo4 battery at a very good price. Cons: The tiny lights showing that DC and/or AC power is on are far too small to see in outside light; the Charger’s fan is loud. The User Manual is pretty limited and assumes things. The user can figure some things out without instructions. For example, on the bottom of the Charger brick, it says the light will be red while charging, and green when fully charged, information not in the instructions. The fit and finish are very nice. The Power Station weighs 21.2 lbs on our bathroom scale. The carrying handle folds neatly into the top, out of the way., leaving a flat surface on top, very nice. A 15W wireless charging port is on top, very handy for charging phones. Included cables: - Power cord. - The car charging cable is well made, 16 AWG wire, but is only 28” long (not including the length of the plugs). Too short depending on the location of your car’s 12V Aux port. - The solar charging cable is longer at 60” (not including the length of the plugs), and also 16 AWG. It has standard solar MC4 connectors, and looks well made. - A velcro “cable caddy” strip is also included, nice touch. The fans in both the Charger as well as inside the Bluetti Power Station run during charging, and they are not very quiet — around 50 dB at 1 meter away. The Charger’s fans run, at about 44 dB, as long as it’s plugged in. You can set the AC output frequency to 50 or 60 Hz, turn On / Off ECO mode. ECO mode will automatically turn off AC power after four hours if there is low or no load in order to save power drain from the inverter for AC running. This also affects how long the screen display stays on. With ECO mode off, pressing any of the three buttons turns the display on for 30 seconds. With ECO mode on, the screen display will stay on for only a few seconds. The light on the front has three settings, medium (1W), bright (2W), and flash. It does not flash SOS, it flashes TTU (long, long, short short long). The tiny switches for power buttons, DC, AC and for the lamp, with tiny green lights, make it hard to tell when they are illuminated. You’ve got to be looking directly at them — in the dark. During the day, it’s pretty impossible to see whether they are on or off. If left on, the battery will slowly drain. You can charge at the same time it’s being used - I charge it in my car at 100W and at the same time run my refrigerator at 30W. So far, I’ve been very happy with the Bluetti EB70, using it for camping, especially to run my refrigerator. I also use it as backup for lights at home. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Dependable, Efficient Power Generator
Style: BLUETTI EB70S
I am impressed with this mid-level 700-Watt power station. I currently have the AC200P, the AC50, and 300W unit by Maxoak. My main use for it is to provide backup power for my saltwater fish tank. It will run my 150-Watt heater, lights, and pumps with no issues. Depending on the output I have been able to use it in this capacity for about 18 hours. I have tried it with my freezer that has about 1000-Watt startup peak with no problems. It will take up to 200-Watt input. Using the wall outlet, it will pull a regulated 193-Watts which recharges it in about 3.5 hours. With a 180-Watt solar panel it takes about 3.75 – 4 hours with full sun. It comes with a 65-inch 16-gauge MC4 cable, a 34 inch 16-gauge DC car charging cable, along with the wall charger and adapter. The Lithium Iron Phosphate battery is a big plus because it gives you more battery cycles and is more stable that previous lithium batteries. With proper care you should be able to use this power station daily for over 8 years before you get down to 80% battery capacity. That is the main quality I like so I can get more bang for my buck. LifePo4 batteries also charge faster and are much lighter than the Lithium Manganese Oxide batteries. The units’ fans are quiet. The fan for the AC/DC adapter is the loud one, although not that bad. The unit is also designed so that you only must only remove 4 screws to access the fan on either side if you need to replace it in the future. This is a big plus. On other units replacing a fan can be a real chore. The one downside of the unit is the LCD display. It goes into sleep mode very quickly and the only light indicating that the unit is on and running is one of the tiny indicator lights for the AC or DC sections. You can make the display stay on longer if you take it out of “Eco” mode, but even then, it only stays on for about 10 seconds as opposed to 2. Overall it is definitely worth the money. ... show more
