Bought last year’s version (apparently, since I can’t find the exact match) and have used them since May 2023. Prior to these I had Oticons (about $3000 for the pair). When one of the Oticons failed I could not afford the repair or replacement of it so went without hearing aids for several months. Saw these on Amazon, noticed the great reviews, and inexpensive price (compared to the Oticons) and decided to try them, not expecting anything nearly as good as the Oticons. Initially, I was skeptical, but after a few days of use started thinking these will suffice. The sound quality seemed muted and muffled in most frequencies. Not a fair comparison to the Oticons, but I was used to “natural” sound. Thought I would get used to them. Nope. The best way I can describe this annoying sound quality is to say it sounded like the Earrcks processed incoming environmental sound by muffling ALL incoming sounds and then sending the selected amplified sounds through the ear pieces. Although the result was the ability to hear the previously unheard high frequencies, the brain kept insisting there was just something wrong with the general sound I was hearing. An audio engineer would probably describe the resulting sound as the input sound passing through “band pass filters” that filtered out selected frequencies while simultaneously passing others through, slightly amplified. Knowing how expensive hearing aids sounded, this became annoying to the point where I just stopped using them. I missed being able to hear well, but didn’t have the money for expensive hearing aids and my insurance at that time did not cover the cost of expensive hearing aids. The more I thought about the odd, muffled, unnatural sound of the Earrcks, the more I suspected that I just needed to figure out how to allow natural sounds through, while mixing those sounds with what came out of the Earrcks (the amplified higher frequencies). I solved the problem by trying different hearing aid domes that let natural sounds through a lot more while adding the frequency boost where needed. Oticon miniFit OpenBase 10mm domes did the trick. Finally, sound quality very close (if not equal) to the old expensive Oticons. THAT Is why I give the Earrcks five stars! Unless these hearing aids have changed a lot, buy them (they actually work well) throw away the domes that come with them, buy OpenBase type domes (probably any reputable brand), make sure they are sized for your ears (10mm domes were on my Oticons, yours are likely to be a different size), stick the new domes on the ends of the hearing tubes (press on) and enjoy the sounds you have been missing. The recharged hearing aids last a whole day for me. Much simpler and more convenient than constantly replacing tiny batteries in the old Oticons. The Bluetooth feature works well. My old Android phone did not run the included software well at all (like many other junk apps). Bought an iPhone. Now everything works fine! It ought to, considering the price of the iPhone. This Hearing Aid has one feature I really enjoyed and that was having the APP to use rather than fiddling with the controls on the device. You can control the settings through the APP which I found much easier to use (which is also nice for those with arthritic hands). The one drawback is that you have to turn off Bluetooth or it kills the battery fast. The APP also has a nice feature where you can personalize the settings for your specific hearing loss to get the best use out of the device. These Hearing Aids are really good and a cut above some other brands I have used. They are not all that discreet (in my opinion) as they are large and held behind the ear. I have found others that you can hide inside the ear but usually do not work as well. They come with several ear tips, which is nice as I have small ear canals and it can be difficult to find items that fit properly. It also has 3 modes for Normal (home) or Noisy (in public) or for people with Tinnitus. This is a great feature since the amplification of sound can be tricky, especially in public areas that are loud. The device also has a nice charging stand, is powered for a long period of time (14 hours) and each control has separate settings (in case you can’t hear as well out of one ear to another). It also has a great instruction manual for the hearing aid and APP instructions. Overall, I think this is a great product and can recommend. ... show more

I ordered these Bluetooth Hearing Aids for 91 year old grandpa. The setup process is fairly easy and the APP is easy to navigate. Also I love the rechargeable feature so that he does not need to replace batteries. I have brought him an expensive name brand hearing aids (~$900) set but that's battery operated. Not to mention the other features and product quality are pretty much the same. That said, this is a great value for money if you are looking for high quality hearing aids. ... show more
