Mine was delivered 10/17/23 and I started using it immediatley. Today 2/25/24 I've changed the filter for the first time, a few weeks overdue for its use in my apartment. Poor filter, I overworked it, it was filthy. It's easy to change the filter and easy to clean the unit with a Clorox wipe. It's quiet and simple to use. I keep it on the highest setting. I have no complaints and I recommed it for anyone looking to cover a 432 square foot area. I have an open concept kitchen and it takes care of cooking odors and keeps the air fresh in the dining and living areas. Plus I bought the blue pre-filter for $6.99, so that is nice to change when changing the filter. The grey pre-filter that came with the unit was filthy as well. Also, I think its an attractive, understated unit that blends well with any decor. I plan on purchasing a second unit, the BLUEAIR Mini that covers 223 square feet. If you don't expect more from the unit than its floor coverage allows I think you won't be dissappointed. ... show more

Love this thing. I can honestly breathe better in my room. For some reason my room gets really dusty fast and since I bought this thing it’s not dusty anymore. I can also breathe easier at night. No more clogged nose. Really helps with the cat dander and hair; I have a long haired cat. Easy to set up, just plug and turn on. And easy to change the filters out on. This air purifier is quiet and doesn't take up a lot of room. Small but powerful. Setting one is great for sleeping. I love that the outer filter is washable. It seems like the inner filter lasts a long time, too. After having this maybe 3 months the HEPA filter still looked really white and seemed there was no dust on it at all, and I was running it all night every night (on setting one). Now I use it in my office at my new place and run it all day on setting two. Not sure how long the filter will last on 2, but the replacement filters are not too expensive. The company is in Sweden and apparently there is no way to contact them. They say "Contact your local retailer for questions" which is basically Amazon! I bought the mini air purifier and it came without instructions, or maybe I lost them. Because somehow I knew there was a child lock system. I tapped on the fan icon and the fan setting wouldn't change. I held it down and it didn't change. Sometimes it turned off. Apparently there is some kind of child lock on it. I tried holding the on/off button for 5 seconds to unlock it and at some point I accidentally turned it up from fan setting one to setting two (which I was happy about, because one wasn't doing enough). Later I somehow accidentally turned the child lock off, I guess, because I was miraculously and thankfully able to easily change the setting from 1, 2, or 3 and back again. I just hope I don't lock it again. Between this and my washing machine lock getting stuck this month I'm fed up with the child locks! Make some items or optional models for people without kids at home! Or at least make it easier to turn the child lock off or post some actual instructions on the website. ... show more

    • A great budget purifier with AUTO feature!

Having an AQI sensor with an auto mode is pretty rare for purifiers at this price range. BlueAir is really cool for creating something inexpensive to be a set it and forget. I’ve tested and tried many different air purifiers and while I have a favorite already, this one really deserves its praises. For starters, I want to say this is definitely a bedroom-centric purifier and isn’t meant for larger open concept spaces (Opt for the 311 Auto for bigger area). The 411 auto is virtually silent on level 1. Level 2 is also pretty quiet but has a very gentle breeze sound (personally my fav for sleeping bc the white noise is calming). Level 3 definitely is a jump in sound but is good for brief quick air cleaning. Auto mode is pretty accurate with detection rate. I put out a candle that was relatively close proximity to the purifier and the sensor light turned red and gradually revved up to sift out the smoke. In another test, I blew out a candle that was further away from the purifier across the room. The sensor did take longer to begin revving up the fan (about 5 mins give or take) but nonetheless still managed to detect. I find dissipation of odors and smoke to be pretty decent. Today I was indecisive about outfits and tried on many diff things while looking in the mirror and I guess all the dust and lint kicked up and got the little guy revving up. All this to say, the AQI sensor and Auto Mode is great! Other positives: -low power consumption. It’s gonna be so inexpensive on your electricity bill. Only 10watts of power max! -stylish! The prefilters are very attractive I’m in a very modern minimalist space with black and whites and grays. The default pre filter it ships with fits perfectly! Diff decor? They have many different colors for you. I have to say, I doubted this thing for a bit because of its seemingly lacking power. It reminded me a lot of the Levoit Vista 200. However that model is awfully weak and not worth the money. I believe the reason why the Blue Pure 411 Auto works so efficiently well, is because it is 90% filter. There’s no plastic unibody or restrictive intake grills. Just fabric and filter. Because of this, less fan power is needed to pull in air through several layers of plastic holes and super dense materials. Pretty innovative and a true example of “less is more”. Highly recommend for those who want a stylish, efficient minimalist air purifier for a small space. ... show more

This air purifier is wonderfully quiet (even helps me sleep better at night with it’s barely audible “white noise”) and very effective at cleaning our room air. Two cats continuously generate hair and dander but within a couple of days we appreciated better air quality.
