My third Hayward Turbo Cell was not generating chlorine and the cell only replacement price quoted by my normal pool dealers; $2,2000+10.44% sales tax was way beyond my pay scale. Amazon Hayward Cell with DIY installation was $900+ tax; still too much. Unable to question BW tech support; I chose Blue Works BLT3H not knowing length, end connection diameter, matching threads, electrical controls plug pins, and compatible with my (30+yr old) Goldline controls but the $365 was worth the gamble and if it didn’t fit/generate free return was included with 2 year warranty. BW cell arrived on Thursday (2day shipping), installation accomplished in 15 minutes, same length, same end diameter, same threads, same plug pins into existing Goldline controls indicated that most controls function were working as required except for salt level (actual 3000+/ reading 1700) and NOT generating chlorine. 30 hours later (Friday late afternoon); SHAZAMMM … SALT 3300 > GENERATING > FREE CHLORINE 5.2 ... show more

I purchased a BlueWorks T-3 salt cell in July ‘22. Unfortunately it stopped working correctly and gave us an erroneous “HOT” indication on our panel. I contacted BlueWorks, completed the steps they requested (photos, video, proof of purchase), and started the warranty process. The customer service representative (JP) was very polite and thorough. I was told I could send the bad cell back and get a new one sent to me (I pay shipping), or I could send them a $300 guarantee fee and shipping fee to receive a new cell. It seemed pretty shady to send them $300 via PayPal, but I took the chance. I received the new cell, sent the bad one back, and got my $300 guarantee fee refunded as soon as the bad cell was received by them. I would definitely do business with this company again. Purchased in July of 2022 and in July of 2023 it started reading hot. Contacted customer service and sent required pictures of the failed salt cell. They are sending a replacement since it is still under warranty. I have not received the replacement yet, but so far they have been very helpful.

My T-3 salt cell went bad. Machines and moving parts can do that. I was, however, very impressed with the speed and courtesy with which Blue Works responded to my request for replacement. They gave clear instructions for what was required to prove the unit needed to be replaced, and once submitted, they got back to me within 24 hrs! Just FYI. I bought name brand Hayward branded replacement in 2018. It lasted 2 years so in 2020 it stopped making chlorine so I bought this knock off for about $200 cheaper (back then) and today, 06/2023, it just stopped working. So there it is. 1 example of knock off better than name brand, which is something I have been finding more and more lately. ... show more

I bought this salt cell about a year ago. It ran through the season flawlessly, but after the winter I screwed it back on and fired up the pool and it burst. Had a salt cell go bad on me and purchased this one to replace. So far so good has been installed a few months now without issue. Also generates quite well had to turn it down to 40% output to keep chlorine in the correct levels.
