First off, for the price it's an absolute steal. I have a Sony Blu-Ray player and an OPPO DVD player both playing through a 60 inch plasma. This little player compares to either with excellent results. The picture quality on Blu-Ray is very good. It's easy to set up, and while I have a lot of experience, I would guess anyone who does not will also have no difficulty. Audio outputs, with coax digital, composite video and HDMI for under $100 is amazing. Negative reviews about off-region playability displayed confusion about DVD vs. Blu-Ray regions and restrictions. That said, I do not have any non-region DVDs to test. I have tested multiple CD's, including retail recent issues, 20 year old retail CDs and even burned copies. All played flawlessly and sound quality was comparable to both of my aforementioned players. Both of those players cost considerably more than this gem, and that was before several years of inflation. The ability to control volume through the remote is what attracted me to this unit initially. The sound system I use is not a commercial product and I do not use a home theater receiver. So the ability to remotely control volume to adjust for disc variability is crucial. The Geoyeao player has much finer adjustment resolution than the OPPO. That allows me to balance parts of the system more accurately. It's new (I got it only two days ago) so time will tell me more about dependability and reliability. It's worth mentioning here that with online registration the manufacturer offers an 18 month warranty. I have no experience with the manufacturer but if valid, that is incredible for almost any product these days, let alone one with all of these features and again, for $100. Give it a try, I did. I bought the Geoyeao Blu Ray DVD Player, 1080P Home Theater Disc System at the end of October. I had a 3 way HDMI splitter going to the TV. My old DVD player, PS4, and Super Nintendo shared the splitter. No problems. However, this Blu-ray player seems to have a "persistant" signal. I have been told, this is to allow it to load faster. The problem was that the TV thinks the Blu-Ray is always on, so I could not use the PS4 or Nintendo, unless I went behind the TV and computer to unplug the player(not an easy task). I tried using the RCA cable that came with the player, instead. That worked for regular DVD, but not for Blu-Ray. So, I went to the manufacturer's website and tried using the contact form, to ask for advice. All I got was an "internal server error". Then, I tried the support email address, fro the same web page and it was returned "undeliverable". I then tried the email at 163.com and never received a response. Finally, I visited ChatGPT and asked for a solution. Chat told me to get a 3 way HDMI splitter that has a switch, so the TV would not "see" the Blu-Ray when the switch was on the PS4. Now, this actually worked! Now, I just hit a button on the 3 way and it switches to whichever machine I have hooked up. I LOVE this player and would give it 5 stars, if it were not for the fact I could not get any support. I does load fast and the remote works great for me. Picture quality is excellent. Sheerness is great and it’s easy to use. I spent a few hours looking for a blu ray / DVD player that would be able to read my collection of Japanese blu ray / dvd collection. I read reviews for so many products leaving me with mixed feelings about committing to a purchase. I then came across this one and right away I thought it definitely looked better then any other player I looked at so far. I then read the reviews and became impressed but I was a little hesitant because the price was so affordable. So I decided I am going to give it a chance and so far this has been a great product. It reads all my blu rays and dvds no problem. It loads fast. It’s a very simple and easy to use. It comes with a good amount of features. It’s also very compact and a lot smaller then I thought it would be which is good for space and the picture quality blew me away. This Player delivers on Functionality and Quality. Purchased to replace a High End Player that failed and it surpassed my expectations. It came well packaged and free of any external defects. The workmanship and design rivaled my expensive High End Player. The 36-page User Manual was clear and concise with extensive Q & A, Tips, and Troubleshooting advice. Out of the box Setup took less than a few minutes with the Default Settings making it basically a Plug & Play operation. On Screen Settings were intuitive and easy to navigate. My older library of self recorded and purchased DVDs played perfectly. I was impressed with how it easily handled and played my custom made mp3 music discs - the on screen display was awesome.
