I bought this camera to use in my home, to catch the people coming in my home while I am gone. I was using an extra cell phone with the Alfred App which worked fine but better with the paid plan. Anyway, so setting up took a few minutes, very simple to do with the Blink Monitor App. My only complaint is there is an extremely loud screeching noise coming out of the App, the only way to get rid of it is to turn the audio off. You can zoom in which I could not do with Alfred. The picture quality is superb, I was talking softly and the camera picked it up, so audio is great. The Blink system works well and is easy to set up. I recently had trouble with my sync module and a member of technical support reached out and sent me a replacement immediately, even though I have an older model. It works fine now and support was very helpful and responsive. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is due to how long it takes to open the camera. Meaning, usually by the time it connects and opens on the app, the person at my door has already left. However, I'm not familiar enough with other systems to know if this is typical of all cameras. To add another positive, the batteries last a really long time. I'm on year 3 and haven't had to replace them yet. Overall it's a good, simple to install, trustworthy unit with good customer support. These cameras do not have motion sensors that send notifications to your phone, you aren't able to go back and watch anything that has gone on. I have the blink subscription and am supposed to be able to do all of this stuff. I have unplugged them, reset them and made sure my phone was updated with all the correct settings. They do not work!!! I even had my son check them to make sure I had everything set up correctly, it is. These cameras are crap if you want to be notified of motion or if you want to go back and watch a live view. I am beyond the 30 day return window so I will eat the money spent and go find a better camera! ***UPDATE*** customer service reached out to me and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem. They were very helpful in getting my camera to do what it was supposed to do. Updated from one star to five based upon the product does work well, excellent customer service I received and the fact they reached out to me to help. ... show more

The price was good. The video quality is ok with good lighting. At, night, it's not so clear. We use it as a nanny cam. It will let you that there is a lot of stuff floating around. The stuff floating will cause the camera to activate. Working on that. Lol. It's simple to set up and to use
