For an 8" sub with no bass, it sounds & works great, but for my 2001 chevy tahoe, remove the rubber grommet that comes around it & fits perfect & use new screws to make it fit.

Used this sub to replace old kenwood. I installed a 100 watt dayton amp plate and the combo is perfect for home audio bedroom sub. Don't expect earth shattering bass but it is crisp clear bass and you can definitely feel it.

I haven’t owned these long, but my first impression is they are a decent 8” woofer. I have them mounted in tubes I bought years ago. I have ran them with a Harmony Audio HA-A400, and it worked pretty well. I also had a Harmony HA-A800.5, so I hooked it up in the car and the subs sound better powered by the mono section of that amp. It is pushing a little over 500 watts RMS vs 300 RMS on the A400.1. However, the little A400.1 pushed these guys fine. For $30ish per unit, you can’t go wrong. ... show more

    • Its a great entry level sub
I have a hyundai genesis coupe that has a rear mounted sub box, w/o the sub and i used this to fill the void. Now my heart is complete with a little more bass this has really made my vehicle feel complete.

    • Is it really a Blaupunkt?
For the price, this speaker sounds pretty good and should perform well, but beware of the 'Blaupunkt' labeling. Blaupunkt the German company that made high end sound equipment in the last century (boy that sounds so long ago), went out of business. Blaupunkt the company no longer exits. The name 'Blaupunkt' was bought and is now licensed to anyone who wants to buy rights to put the name on their products. Yes, anyone can buy the right to name whatever they want Blaupunkt. I'm not saying this is a bad product, just don't be fooled by the name like I was. ... show more
