  • Perfect
Perfect for beginners

  • Watch YouTube instead.
I shouldn't be too critical. After all I have never published anything and this author at least did this. That said, about 30 min on YouTube will cover the whole book.

  • A fine basic primer
While this book does not go terribly in-depth,it does a fine job of giving the reader a great overview of the process of creating a simple knife as well as slightly more info into choosing your steel.

  • Not a lot there
Again, another book seemed to have been written as a joke or on a bar napkin and printed

  • It covers most of what you need to know, to make that good knife.
This is a good book for the beginner and intermediate blacksmith. It answers the questions, that you might have. All you need is a drawing to start you off.

Love the fact that he includes the chart for the steel.

  • Instructions state to put metal in toaster.
This has to be AI generated. Wes Sander does not appear to be a real person. Spelling and grammar is awful. And the information is flat out wrong. Quenching and annealing are one in the same according to this book. …and tempering instructions state (pictures attached as proof) put the metal in a toaster. Do not buy, following this guide will mostly likely kill you. ... show more
