Description

Specification: Material: Vinyl Type: Opaque All-White Matte Thickness: 0.3mm / 12 mil Package Included: 1 x window film 1 x simple step-by-step instructions Tips: 1, Always put the film on the inside of window and only apply it to smooth glass surfaces. 2, Affix tape on a corner of the backside to quickly remove the clear backing. 3, For best results, do not apply film in direct sunlight or during freezing weather. In winter, please use a hair dryer to soften the film or soak the film in warm water. 4, For light leakage at edges of some old windows, use black electrical tape or silicone caulk or similar things to seal the edges. 5, Please remember to take caution when handling the film as the slightest fold will create a permanent wrinkle. 6, Don't apply to the window frame. Cut off excessive edges after application if needed. 7, A helper is especially necessary when applying film to large windows. These are very easy to put up, they stay where you put them and block the light perfectly. They are a little difficult to measure / cut & getting the backing off is difficult. Overall, worth it!

Used this to black out 3 sides of my 18x18x24 White's Tree Frog enclosure. Works like a charm. 1.) Cut the tint 2in bigger than your desired size 2.) Spray the glass generously with soapy water 3.) Attach painter's tape to both sides of one corner of the tint and peel to remove the backing 4.) Spray the back of the tint with some soapy water 5.) Attach to the window and squeegee in a T/L shape with a solid object like a credit card 6.) If wrapped around a corner, tape the sides down to get some tension to make it easier to cut to size. An exactoknife is preferable but I used a box cutter. My cutting wasn't super straight but it's fine for my use. I did one side at a time and cut where the black sealant in the enclosure can mask where the tint ends. It's been several days and the tint hasn't lifted or creased. I put it on three windows. The first one fell off about 2 minutes after I put on. I put it back. Then, it flared out on the two sides. The second one is the same, flared up on the sides. Only the third one stay in the place as it is supposed to be. I am considering to return it.

So, i had blackout fabric hanging up. It collected dust and looked bad. But it was a cheap option to get a few yards from the fabric store and use for 3rd shift. Well, 3rd shift ended and we still don't like the sunshine. Got 1 roll of this. applied to a window 34.6 wide by 48 or something. 1 roll was all that would do. We applied it wrong, it was our fault. But it still seems ok. We'll do better on the next two rolls I need to order. My advice, get a box cutter, or utility knife with a NEW blade to cut, use window cleaner, and make sure to flatten the air out with a credit card or binder. Over all...won't need dusty fabric up, blocks out the light, and does not look like a trash bag. I'll be ordering decorative privacy cling for our kitchen remodel too. ... show more

There were lots of bubbles the first time I applied this to my 20 gallon long. I used other review recommendations to put something on it to hold the tint on while drying. The second time I had lots of practice appling window tint and used the same technique to cut it down to size, pulled the backing off, sprayed the back of the aquarium with soapy water, squeeged the excess water, then used painters tape to hold down the loose areas until dry, and then carefully pulled off the tape. It’s only been a day since I’ve applied to to the windows. It was super easy to put up. I love the quality of it and the measuring lines to assist in cutting. Of course it’s never a perfect line but no worries. That’s why it’s a DIY project and not a professional $$$$. It immediately darkened the room. My window panes have a top half and a lower. So I completed the top on all 4 windows (bay windows). Absolutely going to reorder to complete the lower windows. ... show more
