These are not sheer, but not blackout either. They look good at night but when the sun is out, there's a glow- especially on the orange section. You'll need another curtain underneath for the full blackout effect.

I like these curtains & I don’t have any complaints. They are good for blocking out light but I’m not concerned about that personally because I like light to come through my dining room window. For someone who is concerned, I think these would be good. The colors are nice & match my living room which is gray & orange. Curtains are very good looking. Good fabric curtains not cheap looking .. and it blocks out sunlight. just little wrinkles that you have to iron out but overall these are exceptionally good curtains.. I'm very satisfied.
