This definitely blocks out all light. It is huge and should fit most windows, and comes with ALL the supplies to cut and hang it in multiple windows (has a cutter, tape measure and plenty of adhesives/suction cups). The suction cups stay really well if you get them a little wet. I haven’t had it fall ever. The only con is that it STINKS at first. You have to air it out for a while. Don’t know what sort of chemicals they use to dye it but they are strong. My child isn’t eating off of the curtain though so I’m not too bothered by it. ... show more

It works great hubby said it look like tinfoil from the outside lol but hey we needed something fast i could put up in this rental till our home is finished being built. They block the light and thats all i cared about. If i had more windows i def would have bought more :)

When I first bought these they were the perfect solution for our east/west facing house that gets a tremendous amount of sun as the sun sets. It was impossible to put the baby down at night since it was beaming daylight through the blinds and would get SO hot. This helped not only keep the room totally dark, but it did cool the room by about 5 degrees. After about two weeks, the sun was back beaming through the shades. The heat completely melted all the sticky back backing on the Velcro pieces leaving a very gooey mess all over, and the blackout part to fall down. It’s horrible, sticky goo that slid down all over the glass of the window. After I clean this up, I might try command strips, but it’s going to take a ton of goo gone and a lot of patience. The suction cups it came with definitely won’t stay up long. The blackout part self is great. Just disappointed in the adhesive Velcro. ... show more

There is a horrible rotting fish smell when you open the package. You have to let it off-gas for a few days before you can use it. Other than that, it works wonderfully. No regrets. I would buy it again.

In the past, I have used the privacy film-type blackout window treatments and I have to say that they are very, very difficult to put on the windows. This treatment was nowhere near as difficult to put up and it took a lot less time, as well. If I use it again, there are some things I would do differently, now that I've used it and understand better how it works. It's not perfect on the window but all the light is blacked out and I am very pleased with this product. ... show more
