  • 4OUTSIDE MOUNT: Measure window outer frame width and length. Add 3-5 Inches on the window width and 5-10 Incheson the length to get the roller shade size. Select exact blind size you want to cover to make the order. We won't take any deduction.

Description

MOUNT TYPES: Inside mounted shades will have a deduction taken of approximately 1/4" to ensure a proper fit inside the window frame. Inside mounted shades require a minimum frame depth of 2inch for secure installation. If your window frame depth is less than 2inch please select outside mount. Outside mounted shades should be ordered with the exact width of the area you wish to cover. Outside mounts are often used when there is not sufficient frame depth for inside mounting.Our shades come with all mounting hardware, and mounting hardware for both inside mount and outside mount INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1.Measure the inside frame width at three locations-the top,middle,and bottom. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements and use that number as your inside width when ordering. Step 2. Measure the height at 3 locations-the left,middle,and right side. Record the smallest of the 3 measurements and use the number as your inside width when ordering. OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Step 1. Measure the outside frame width adding 3-6inch to be the outside mount width. Step 2. Measure the outside frame length adding 4-6inch to be the outside mount length. The overlap it recommended to allow appropriate coverage and avoid any light gaps. I just purchased an 85" TV, and so I am preparing the room to give me the best viewing experience. I am extremely happy with the quality, blackout ability, ease of installation, and great communication with the seller to confirm the correct size. I really couldn't be happier. The blinds arrived complete...with no missing parts or screws, etc. I have had problems before with blinds missing little bits critical to the installation. The photos show the sun shining directly on the blinds. There is no way to get a perfect blackout without the outer halo, as allowances need to be made for hardware and "unsquareness" of window framing. I purchased some 2" vinyl tape to run around the exterior of the window for a true blackout that I will install when it arrives. I have secondary horizontal slat blinds installed on this window, and I found it easier to remove the blinds and hardware for my installation as my clearances are extremely tight. The second photo shows the reinstalled hardware. I will clean the blinds and reinstall them in front of these blinds. The installation instructions were easy to follow, and in my case, 6 screws and 3 brackets are holding my new blinds firmly in place. It took a about 90 minutes for my installation as I determined that I should remove my slat blinds and hardware by trial and error. The second window took about 30 minutes! I would highly recommend these blinds... Oh, BTW, the retraction action of these blinds is incredibly smooth, and not the usual comedy style whipping up like a spring loaded prank! I bought these to fit in a window in my motorhome, behind the sink. The original window covering (from 2004) was a metal mini-blind. Not only did it look nasty after 16 years, but it rattled when driving and was annoying. A replacement roller blind custom made to the correct size from RV supplier was going to be about $120, so while this was a little pricey at ~$70 for a roller blind, because I could order the exact size I needed - and the seller communicates to make sure the size is correct before they make it - it was worth it. I'm not using the pull string as it's not needed, and although I think I could shorten the length (much longer than what I need), I didn't bother. Shipping was also fast at about a week or a little more than a week?, considering it's made-to-order, that was pretty fast. ... show more

Great quality, and love the look! The color is exactly what we ordered. Raising and lowering the shade is easy and very smooth - goes slow instead of snapping up. Only negative is that I wish it would have included a piece to cover where shade is attached in the window. After placing our order, the seller contacted us regarding the measurements we requested. Great shades! I purchased a second one because I liked the first one. They might be a bit pricey, but seem durable and if good quality. I liked they double checked with you measurements after you place order. This helped to correct some of the measurements before custom make them. The second shade I ordered was for a challenging attic window. I contacted them asking for advice and they quickly got back to me with how to measure, what mount to choose and where to installed it (see attached pictures). Great customer service.
