  • Perfect Option For Use With ProPresenter!
Best option out there for anyone looking to have multiple outs when using pro presenter 7. Wish I would have purchased this sooner. We were using a “triple head to go” before using this and am so much happier with this option. No drivers needed, no special boot up, and once configured it just works every time without a hitch or any extra steps. The “triple head to go” always needed rebooted, occasionally crashed on us, needed special drivers that were a huge pain especially when the computer OS needed updated. Also was very hard to explain to Volunteers in a church setting. This card fixed all of those issues and it just works. Once setup you will just forget it’s even there, and it will run flawlessly in the background. We use three screens on stage Right/Left/Center, a confidence screen in the back of the room, and TV’s running slides/announcements in the church foyer with this unit. You can also use it with a black magic switcher to do alpha-keying and croma-keying which is a great option if you want to do iMag (live camera feeds to screens with text overlay). You will need to purchase a thunderbolt 3 chassis to use this card with a Mac computer. I can’t speak to using this card with windows as we run everything via Mac currently. I would recommend getting a chassis from Sonnet Technologies. They have a bunch of good options and ours works perfect. I would totally recommend this especially if your going to be using this with pro presenter. There is not a better option out there! Hope this is helpful for someone out there looking to use this in a church, school, or theater application. Thx for reading and have a great day! ... show more

  • Excellent 4-port HD-SDI capture solution
We upgraded our curling club webcast system with some HD-SDI cameras feeding into this capture card, used via vMix production/streaming software. My only complaint is that the connector mapping to channels is odd and not well-explained, but you can just hook up a camera and see what happens to figure it out. Otherwise it was simple to set up and use for capture with vMix. Make sure that your motherboard has an empty x4 PCI slot. Make sure that you use quality RG6 coax cables for HD-SDI, because cheap non-SDI power+coax Siamese/zip cables will not work with HD-SDI. Our webcast computer also has another Blackmagic capture card, a Mini Recorder, and after rebooting the machine the first time all of the old and new channels got rearranged. So we needed to delete the inputs from vMix and re-add them. But we have not had any more problems since the first reboot. ... show more

  • Working perfectly
Currently working without problems, in uncontrolled environments and remains stable, it supports 4 video inputs / cameras at 1920x1080 at 60Hz, easy to configure and manage, the drivers are very simple to locate on their official page. Compatible with the main streaming video programs such as OBS, Wirecast, vMIX, I have tested each of them and the result has been satisfactory that we are already on the 3rd team assembled with this card. The price I consider accessible given the versatility and quality of this capturing, obviously not intended for enthusiasts or youtubers, but for event capture. I remain at your service in case you have any questions about this product, as an assembler of professional equipment, maybe I have already faced the dilemmas and problems that you can face and have the answer, so ... • Great solution for SDI output.
Used this to gain independent SDI outputs from an iMac. This was a great solution in combination with a thunderbolt 3 enclosure. If you are planning on using this for lower thirds with the planning center this worked perfectly out of the box. The only suggestion is to make sure you download the Blackmagic video program before you plug it in and add SDI connections one at a time to ensure correct mapping. ... show more

  • Fixed our output issues
Paired with the Sonnet Chassis and other items to help create a strong signal when sending video outputs to multiple sources. Great quality, reliable, and customer service very knowledgeable.

  • Not entirely user friendly
It works, but not at all with the ease of a consumer product. I have had many of Blackmagic encoders, decoders AJA too, and after many years they still seem to not iron out the hardware physical aspects from the user aspects. It works. I use this one in a fly-pack for remote live internet broadcasts. It’s dedicated to expand as needed to feed or allow for additional cameras. It did however require a pc mother board with more PCIE lanes. The graphics card used 16 and this card uses 4. It was not mentioned in any literature, so be aware of this system requirement before you think of just adding it to an existing system. ... show more

  • It just works!
We're using it in our field multi camera production system for streaming events and more. Blackmagic Design is nailing it with the Duo2 cards. I've got two of these in an older PC with a ssd and vMix's software and am constantly blown away with what I can do vs an ATEM system. They just work. No crazy configuring issues. Slap 1 (or 2) in a system, build it how you want, and for a very reasonable price. For us, it's like getting a Tricaster but for a steal of a price. ... show more
