I bought this for spot cleaning my guinea pigs' enclosure. This vacuum is an absolute workhorse! Charging: it does not indicate if it is charging, low battery, done charging, etc, with any sort of light. It just dies when it runs out with no indication. Because of this i pig it in at the end of every day. Design: great for small bits. Cleaning my guinea pigs cage, it isn't big/long enough to handle pieces of hay and the inner seal will get stuck open. Noise level: loud, but not unbearably so. My piggies are uncovered by the noise. Cleaning: the vacuum chute (?) and filter are washable, and come perfectly clean with a good soak in hot water and soap. Pick up: an absolute beast when picking up. I never had a Dustbuster before. If there was a spill, crumbs or other need I'd get out either a broom and dustpan or the full vacuum cleaner. This year I adopted an 8 month old puppy and the clean ups, spills and crumbs became daily so I bought this dustbuster. It's handy and effective in cleaning up. The brush adapter works well for cleaning pet hair off of rugs and furniture. It works great and was worth the investment. ... show more

I was so surprised that when I originally went to use it, it was fully charged and it has good suction power. I mean, I could clean up the kitty litter and then go out and do the car mats. It stays charged for a good amount of time and the suction is fantastic. It’s very easy to use and very easy to clean. Does it’s job, decent suction and easy cleaning. Small hand vacuum so it makes sense, you get what you purchased. But I noticed I have to keep it plugged in when I’m not using it because the power is drained when it’s off??? I don’t know if it’s like a design flaw because this is the only hand vacuum out of many I've purchased and this has never been an issue. But it’s inconvenient because it feels like I’m on a timer whenever I unplug it. Overall, you get what you pay for, so you can’t be too surprised. ... show more

    • Best I've used. Light-weight, good suction, nicely balanced. Great feel in your hand.
This is the best, most comfortable, and easy-to-use hand-held vacuum I've used. It is very compact and well-balanced in your hand. It has a powerful suction and a slip-on crevice tool and brush. The filter canister is easy to open and dump the contents. Filters are a good quality fuzzy fabric that is washable. Some dust and crud clings to the fuzz which is annoying but easy to pick loose. I find that after a half-dozen or more washings, the fuzz has lost it's effectiveness and replace the filter. I'm not sure what the benefit of the fuzzy filters are versus smooth ones, but know that heavy-duty professional dust collectors use fuzzy felt filter bags (or pleated paper filters). This model has a wall-hanging mounting bracket. Unlike earlier Dustbuster versions, it does not automatically connect for charging when on its wall bracket -- it has a cable that plugs into the top of the unit for charging. There is an almost identical unit that sits on a saucer-shaped charging station that rests on a horizontal surface. I prefer the wall-hanging mount and don't find the separate charging cable an issue, though I did like the earlier versions that make charging connection through the bracket. The Dustbuster line is annoying in that they have started using different styles of filters, so you have to be careful about matching model numbers. Several friends have competitive products, but I find them heavier, taking up significantly more space when stored, not well balanced to hold, and only equivalent suction at best. ... show more
