This thing is a beast. It defiantly have the blending power. Load it up, power it on, push the button and its like a hugh jet taking off. This thing is LOUD. My days of sneaking a midnight milkshake are over. That's what you are going to get when you have a blender this powerful. Its nice that this unit accepts the pitcher and also single sized cup. So I can use this same base and not have to dig out another blender base for when I do make myself a milkshake. We’ve had an older version of this blender for years. One of my kids dropped the container and cracked it. It was almost the same price to just replace the whole thing as it was to just replace that part so that’s what I did on Black Friday. I love the new updates! I feel like it’s easier to clean. I love everything about this blender except one thing: it is hard to clean all the little notches and nooks where the container/blade assembly locks into the base. It would be a perfect blender if the black collar around the top of the motor base came off so it could be cleaned in a sink or dishwasher. The power this thing has is amazing. It can blend/process anything to total smoothness. Very easy to use. Only drawbacks: a little difficult to clean the processor bowl, to many nooks and crannies; it is a little loud (OK, a lot loud.) and there is no hole in the top of the processor for adding liquid.
