Love the Bissell products. Use this on my counches and chairs. I have multiple dogs and a cat (who are allowed on the furniture). This works great! However, the hair of my long coated Chihuahua still gets wrapped around the brush and I have to cut it off with scissors. But it does the job and picks up all the hair! We bought ours a little over a year ago. I am incredibly impressed with how well this handheld vac works! Solid performance with regards to suction. It doesn't have a kot of capacity in the body but I just dump it and quickly get back to the job at hand. Battery life is about 20 minutes but in that time I am usually able to clean up after my three cats that are in a 5 x 10 foot catio with artifical turf covering the floor. We also have a "cat room" for our indoor cats with carpeted floor. It will hold up for most of what needs to be picked up. I normally have to clean the power head after each use but it goes pretty quickly and effectively. I use a small nylon brush to get into the corners of the power head. The filters work well for about two - three months and aren't super expensive to replace. I wash my filter at least once during that period before replacing it. It certainly is much easier than using our stand up vacuum. Wish we'd have found this sooner! ... show more

Let me start by saying I had gone through “trial and error” with several small hand vacs before I ended up buying this one. I should have bought this from the start and saved myself the time and frustration. This was the best one I had tried as far as having the strongest suction power and lasting battery. I like that it comes with 2 attachments and I use the pet hair one on my furniture. I use the straight narrow attachment to get in corner and under my cabinets and it does a good job. I only wish there were more attachments available for it. It isn’t the best when I use it in my car so I still use a shop vac for that, but then again, this isn’t made for car cleaning, anyway. I also wish there was a bagged option, too. It is easy to open and empty and you can wash the filter which is convenient, too. Overall, I’d recommend, and hopefully I can save others the time and hassle by sharing that I really did buy and return so many other options before settling on this one. Excellent product. Works super on long hair pick-up. My Great Pyrenees sheds CONSTANTLY. I have to Vacuum every day, without fail. Between the long 'nose' accessory, and the motorized Brush-Head, It will pick up hair like a CHAMP !! I've had this one for 2 years, and it's still going strong, and it's easy to empty. This is our 2nd vacuum like this. We got the first one 5 years ago and used it ALL THE TIME. I want to stress that we used that thing a lot. We have a regular size vacuum but we get so tired of hauling it around. I use this little one to vacuum up dust piles and cat litter and anything else that isn't the large area rug or the entire room. So I feel like 5 years is getting my moneys worth. This little guy has great suction, charges fast, and holds a charge for a long time. Trust me I have a teenager that never plugs it in when he's done using it. This is awesome for using in my small space with 3 cats. It works well in area rugs that are difficult to clean with a regular vacuum due to getting pulled into the vacuum.
