I love this coat. I am in Iowa. The coat seems to be warm(I have only had a chance to wear it in 18 degree weather). It looks great on. It is true to size and a great color(I got it in Army green). I desperately needed a new winter coat but I hate shopping for them. I found this on Amazon in black, liked the reviews, and ordered one in a 1X, I think. On sale. It shipped fast. It was nice and heavy and warm, but seemed a little tight, so I returned it, tried to order the next size up in black, but the sale price didn't transfer. So I ordered the white, which was still on sale, and I love it! Probably the best winter coat that I have bought in years. It is very warm, just in time for our first winter blast. I love the material, it's nice and soft and "puffy", and I don't care that I might look like a giant marshmallow! It comes with a faux fur trimmed hood that is zippered on. I originally took the hood off, but decided the cold air was TOO cold. The hood zipped right back on, and is very warm. I don't like that the faux fur tickles my forehead and is too long in my opinion, but I may trim it later. It is nice and heavy, and works for bitter cold weather. No wind went through! I can use the zipper or buttons to close it. I like that the ample sized pockets have a button on them, too. I don't think it is rain proof, but I can probably spray some water repellent on it. I did that years ago with a down coat I owned then. I would suggest ordering one size up, but that was just my experience. (Returning the first smaller size coat was no problem.) I purchased a coat prior this one from a different brand and the fit was not good. Also, the design was not good. However, this coat is just perfect, both size wise and look wise. It feels so good wearing it and the color is amazing. Really gives a royal look. Its also so cute. I ordered small size. Usually, for coat they say one size above but for this one, just order your size. The size chart they have holds good. I used that for reference and ordered my true size. Perfect fit. ... show more

Ordered a size up for reach, bust, and when wearing bulky clothing. This is my 1st mid-length jacket and what I wasn't expecting when I sized up, was to have a super full and poofy [not puffy] hip and thigh gap. I guess if I'm wearing long sweaters, this area will fill in and not swoosh when I move?? I hope! Other than that, great coat, great price, attractive on, and very warm! I am super picky when it comes to pockets, and this coat does not disappoint. The lining is a lightweight, soft fleece material and when your hands aren't in them, there are magnetic button closures to keep your pockets closed. It's not super strong, so I wouldn't put my cell phone in it and not expect it to fall out. Keys??.. maybe, but the pocket isn't that deep for peace of mind. Zipper is easy and snaps are secure and stay snapped. Though i haven't tried the hood yet during a windstorm, it does cover my head fully shielding my face from the rain. The jacket itself is lightweight and can be worn casual or dressy casual. Worth the price for a couple of seasons. Will get a lot of day-to-day use this winter. 😊 ... show more

First of all, the jacket is beautiful. Length is good -- about to my knees and I am 5'4. I normally wear a size 14 and the XL fits me perfectly. I can wear a sweater under it as well. I bought the white with the black and white faux fur on the hood and it is comfortable, well made and the zippers and snaps work perfectly. The only thing I will mention is that the recommended size by Amazon was 2XL and that would have engulfed me! I might have been able to wear a large, but it would not have given me the extra room for a sweater and would probably be tight in the shoulders as I have a full bust. It is lightish weight but will be warm and cozy. I bought a white hat with the same faux fur on the pompom and it is a cute look along with my white boots with black laces (both also from Amazon). I am ready for the cold for sure!! I highly recommend it!! ... show more

This coat is good quality. I would have preferred a metal zipper but either way it looks pretty durable. I like that the pockets are lined with a cozy fleece like material. My husband says the jacket is attractive and I like that it is a longer style to cover my butt and prevent wind from getting up under the coat. The hood is a bit large but definitely will protect you from a blowing wind if you happen to be out in it. It is well insulated but not so puffy you can’t comfortably move. I ordered a size up so I could wear a sweater underneath with some moving room. I am happy and the price was right for as much as I use a winter coat. ... show more

I am VERY picky and researched and reviewed alot of coats and this, by far, is the best coat of all. It fits true to size, ( I'm 5'6 200lbs) ordered a 2x, fits perfectly! Not too narrow or humongous. Its super soft with knit cuffs to keep the cold out and a "fur" lining around the attached hood that for once, doesn't look fake, It blends right in. It's a pink color and I feel that it's flattering. Zipper is plastic but if it fails, there are snaps as well. Very pleased. It's new so I haven't washed it yet. ... show more

The coat arrived today, beautifully boxed for gift giving, looks very extravagant! Coat runs true to size. I bought medium and I'm 5ft 119lbs. It is a slim fit, but not too long, which I didn't want the coat to come to my knees. It's the perfect length, covers my thighs. It's very comfotable! The coat is warm and the fur hood looks rich! It has both a heavy zipper, along with snaps. The coat is extremely well made. I'm so glad I purchased it. If you don't like puffer jackets, as I don't either, it's not. It has a sleek fit.
