Need this for new smoker grill, easy to apply, and worked allot better after putting it on. It may not have sealed every little problem around my lid, it did seal 99% of them. If I ever need more or get another smoker grill I will be buying this seal gasket before I even fire it up the first time. The gasket works great on my WSM door. Took longer to clean all the soot off so I could get a clean surface than to actually install the gasket. Wish it was a little thicker but should do what it is supposed to do for the next year.

This product was what I used when building a UDS. At that time it was great. That is why I ordered it to seal up some small leaks on my offset smoker. It started well, but less than halfway thru the peel off backing started pulling about half the thickness of the gasket off with it. It was a spring day in South Carolina, so it should not have been overheated in the delivery vehicle. I started working from the opposite end, and it got enough to finish the job, but no extra. If I had much of a leak or building another smoker I would have needed at least one more roll. ... show more

Goes on easy and stays on. Heat resistant for sure. Make sure if you put it on a fire box to put it on the lid so open flame doesn't touch it.
