It's heavy enough to do the job well and the raised handle keeps my hand burn-free. It washes well so I'm a happy camper. If you've never made smash burgers you need to start with a ball of loosely packed ground beef, about 4 to a pound (or whatever meat you're using). You place the ball (or balls) in a hot skillet, wait a minute to so for the meat to sear, then smash it into patties in the pan. The burgers will be fairly thin and cook quickly. WHY DIDN’T I GET THIS LONG TIME AGO? Well, that’s what I asked myself when I used it for the first time. This thing is wonderful and does what it is supposed to do! Believe me, it is soooo easy to use and I am very thankful, my spouse suggested to buy one. I put parchment paper first on top of the bacon and it works like a charm! My bacon look really good, flat and for some reasons, they don’t shrink as much! Perfect size for me, but if you have more than two people in your family, they have bigger sizes.
