I bought the salad plates first to see if I'd like the design and how well they were made: they were great. When I took the dinner plates out of the box, I literally gasped. They are even better looking in person than in the pictures. I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm already planning to buy more pieces from the set. One thing to keep in mind: these plates are big (11 inches). They are sturdy and a little thicker than all my other plates. If that's not something you'd like (or have a room for), look elsewhere. But if you don't mind (or it's a plus for you), get them, because they are really very pretty and well-made. ... show more

So I absolutely adore these plates. The vivid colors and pattern make me happy. Unfortunately I can’t say that they are very durable. One of my beautiful plates chipped a few weeks after purchase. So disappointed. I intended to eventually buy a second set.

I had previously purchased four of the plates and because I usually change my table with the seasons, I am happy to bring these out again and have decided that this will be my year-round table setting. They are just too pretty not to be on the table year-round. I have since purchased the matching vase/pitcher, salt and pepper shakers (on the way), and the spoon rest (on the way).
