The material is thick and the grommets are nicely sewn in. I went with the darker colors as reviewers suggested that worked better than lighter ones. Color is true to expectation. I bought the brown and royal blue versions. If you're trying to create a completely black out room, remember there is space between the curtain rod and the window that a curtain doesn't cover, you may be better off using a window film or other covering. ... show more

These curtains block out ALL the light! The only mistake I made was that I should have gotten a bigger curtain. I didn’t account for the waviness that curtain rods cause, so make sure you have some extra inches to completely cover the window.
