Features

  • CoreGard Technology: Tougher Sidewall Rubber: Split & bruise resistant sidewall rubber, derived from BFGoodrich's race proven Baja T/AKR2 tire. Thicker, Extended Shoulder Rubber: Increased rubber thickness, extending down the sidewall to protect more of the critical sidewall failure zone. Advanced Deflection Design: Computer predicted object path design deflects protruding objects from snagging & splitting the sidewall.
  • Specially formulated tread rubber: Optimally blended to reduce chip and tear for superior gravel road endurance. Advanced tire footprint shape: results in more evenly distributed stress, for longer more uniform wear. Interlocking Tread Design: provide increased tread block stability, for more even wear over the long haul Stone Ejectors: Rejects stone retention & provides extra tread cleanout protection against stone drilling.
  • Upper Sidewall Traction Bars: Protruding sidewall rubber blocks that provide increased mud, snow & rock traction, especially in aired-down driving situations. Mud-Phobic Bars: Raised bars in the shoulder tread area that helps to release compacted mud for enhanced traction in muddy and soft soil conditions.
  • Serrated Shoulder Design: Staggered shoulder blocks that provide greater maneuverability in soft soil and deep snow conditions. Locking 3-D Sipes: 3-D active sipe technology, that provides more biting edges for significantly increased snow traction. 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake: Exceeds Rubber Manufacturer Association (RMA) Severe Snow Traction requirements.

  • The best A/T tire for all-around daily use
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I am in the process of doing some overland conversions to our 2018 Forester, and 29" tires were on the list. While the BFGs were on the high side price-wise, driving on these quickly proved why. Keep in mind that I have really only used these tires on paved roads, and some pretty bad country driveways that could be compared to a rutted dry, rocky river bed. Pros The Forester handles better on the road. Hard to believe that a taller off-road tire would perform so much better on curves than the original Yokohamas, but with the incredibly stiff sidewalls these tires have, she corners as well as some well set-up cars I have done. They are much quieter than I thought they would be. Don't get me wrong, they are noiser than the OE tires, but quieter than some Firestone GTA Firehawks with 15k miles. I know not everyone will get the reference, but suffice it to say they are very reasonable for A/T tires. The grip on all surfaces is amazing. The only place I felt any real slip was going diagonaly over train tracks with steel plates in between in the rain, and that was minor. Everywhere else they just grip. They look amazing. I know that that is a pretty minor point for tires, but for some, it really matters. I have received more complements on this vehicle with the few mods I have done than any other car I have modified (and I have done many over the years) because of the way they set off the Forester. Cons They are heavy. You will accelerate slower than you once did because of the extra weight. My choice to go with a taller tire also contributes to that, but comparing within the same size tire, the extra weight will make a difference. Your fuel economy will decrease as well. Ours dropped about 4mpg overall. For me, the cons were expected, and turned out not as bad as I thought. I couldn't be happier so far, and after we travel from PA to CA next year, I will update how they do across more surfaces. ... show more

  • Great in the snow and mud
Style: R18 Size: LT275/65R18/E 123/120R
So far in 1,000 miles, these have done great in the snow and mud on my F150. Noise is not bad at all and the ride is good on the road. I'll buy these again. I just wish they were a bit cheaper.

  • Best off road tires out there
Style: R18 Size: LT265/70R18/E 124/121R
So this is the 3rd set of these I have bought. I put them on a 2014 Tacoma, a 2016 Tacoma and just the other day on my 2011 GMC truck I use for work. They make very little road noise, you will get at least 50k miles out of them. Depending on where you drive, (I’ve yet to have a flat and I drive through lots of rough areas on my farmland and construction sites), you will probably get more miles out of them. It’s the only off road tire I’ll buy. It’s way better than the others it competes with and you will be happy with these too!! ... show more

  • Best tires on the Market
Style: R18 Size: LT275/65R18/E 123/120R
Loved they were shipped from BF Goodrich Direct. 2 previous tire orders (not BF Goodrich) "shipped from Amazon" (never got them) were a nightmare! I'll stay loyal to BFGoodrich!

  • Decent
Style: R18 Size: LT265/65R18/E 122/119R 122R
These are decent AT tires, but they are pretty soft and need constant rotating, really a bit of a pain.
