So far it's a nice pool for a first time pool owner. It was easy to put together, it only took us a little over an hour. There are only two complaints I have. One is the filter is not strong enough. Next summer I will be purchasing a bigger one. The second complaint is the ladder. For saftey reasons it needs to have a small platform at the top for sturdiness and for kids to be able to easily enter and exit the pool. ... show more

I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to see how well the pool held up through the first summer and if taking it down, storing it, and bringing it back out would meet my expectations. Given the expense, I wanted to ensure I could get more than one summer out of it. I'm happy to report that this pool is hands down worth the money. After a full summer of use and then storing it over the winter, it still looks as good as when I first bought it—no rips, tears, or any signs of wear. The durability has truly impressed me. The only minor issue is that the original pump seemed a bit underpowered for the size of the pool. This year, we upgraded to a sand pump for convenience, but the original pump was still functioning; it just required more frequent shocking than I preferred. My kids have so much room to play in this pool! There's enough space for a net and at least five people on each side to play comfortably. It has provided endless fun for my family and friends. If you're on the fence about investing in this pool, go for it—you won't be disappointed! ... show more

I would give this a 5 star, but our sides buckled a little more than I would like to see. This is actually very common with this shape of pool in a grass area. I have had two so I knew what to expect. These pool pums are definitely not the greatest, so be prepared to upgrade. But, the pool liner is great quality. Like I said, I have had this kind of pool before and it lasted for 5 years. Will this one last that long? We all hope for the best, but I'm not counting on it. ... show more

    • Don't expect instructions that are worth a crap

Review on 18x9x4 oval pool. I'm not happy with this pool. So far, it's set up and has water in it and the pump appears to be enough for the volume of the pool (1500gph). The issue is with the instructions (or lack there of) included. They are incredibly vague, have no description within them, have very small pictures and are at worst misleading. The instructions state to place boards or other suitible material beneath the posts however what they neglect to tell you is that unless you dig the support blocks into and flush with the ground you will end up with the sides bowing in LIKE CRAZY. This resulted in me having to use my 2 1/2 ton car jack along with 2 x 4s to jack up the posts one at a time to remove the wood. That was for the 10 posts on the circular sides of the pool. For the u shaped posts on the side I had to dig one of them out and use a hammer to pound the other pieces of wood out from underneath the insane weight of 4800 gallons of water. Let's just say, I was not happy about that. The ladder also didn't come with any instructions at all. Finally the pool cover. What a piece of junk. Doesn't even fit. Spent at least a half hour stretching and pulling and tieing it off in order to get it to even think about fitting over the rails. Between the TERRIBLE INSTRUCTIONS, pool cover that doesn't fit, and having to deal with the weight of 4800 gallons of water to remove supports that were suggested to be used by the manufacturer I'm really surprised this thing has any positive ratings. Now, let's see if this piece of junk lasts through the summer. ... show more

No complaints other than pump could be better and it didn’t come with an underlayment. You will NEED to upgrade the pump at some point this one just wasn’t enough to keep it clean. I upgraded to a 13” sand filter pump and it’s way better. I recommend to get a surface skimmer and vacuum that plugs into suction ports to keep pool looking good. Very easy to set up and no issues with the pool itself. Overall happy with purchase. ... show more

I’m happy with the product but very disappointed with the service Bestway provided which was 0. I ordered a 20 X12X4 above ground pool from them through Amazon and received it in November of last year as a Christmas present for my wife. It was big and heavy so I did not open to set it up until the weather was warm enough. When I opened it, it was missing 5 pieces. I asked Amazon and Bestway multiple times for the parts that were missing. I did not want to return it or get a refund. I just wanted the missing parts. So after about a month and a half of them refusing to send me the parts, I just went to Home Depot and bought pipes, connectors, and the tools I needed to make the parts they didn’t send and refused to send me. ... show more
