I have been through 4 pool covers with my summer waves pool. Each one I have purchased previously were all made of tarp like material, which would eventually dry rot and fall apart into the pool. I live in Florida and the sun here doesn’t give a shit about you, so have a thin pool cover sitting directly in the sun over my pool everyday it’s getting baked to death. I can gladly say this pool cover is made of a different material. It’s kind of a rubbery cloth. In the heat of the sun it becomes pliable and stretchy which is concerning for the future but, for now it’s holding up. The string isn’t too sturdy and without clasps to hold onto the pool legs, hard wind tore this off the pool. I took the clasps off my old cover and attached them to this one with zip ties. Hope this lasts through at least a year. ... show more

This is what I was looking for but the fit is a little tight. My pool is 18 ft, so is this cover but its still a tight fit and a little hard to put on. When you pull one side over the rim, the other side falls in the pool so you need a few people to help put it on and hold the sides. It's also not very easy to tie. It comes loose easily and blows off easy when it's windy. But that's mostly all covers like this.. ... show more

    • Disappointing Purchase, Useless Cover

I should have listened to other reviewers…. Upon first use, I LOVED the cover. It was lightweight and floated such that I could put the cover on my round 16 ft above ground Intex pool by myself. That was a huge win. But, I quickly FELL OUT OF LOVE the first time it rained. The holes are far too close to the center of this particular cover. As a result, when it rained, the cover became weighted down sufficiently that the water IN my pool came up through the holes causing the lightweight cover to sink. Ultimately, all of the filthy rain water and leaves, bugs, etc. that had collected on top of the cover mixed with my pool water. It was impossible to remove the cover without it falling into the pool because of the volume of water (perhaps 8 inches if not more) that weighed it down. I ended up having to spend large sums of money to buy chemicals to EXTRA shock my pool. Holes in covers are not bad, but the holes need to be much farther from the center! ... show more

    • A headache to switch on and off by one person

I wanted my nephew's pool to stay as clean as possible and thought this would be a big help. But, for one person, it's difficult to get placed clear across to each side and secured w/out it slipping off. I've had help putting it all the way on several times and tightened the cord but each time it's wiggled it's way off.
