    • The review I wish existed before I bought this pool

This pool is the best purchase I've made this summer! We've only had it for a few days, so I will update on longevity over time, but so far...it's stood up to some intense kids playing, and it's been a godsend for me given that it's hitting 100 degrees out & our A/C decided to die. Now! Onto what you need to purchase alongside this pool to make it amazing. First, the pump that comes with this pool is inadequate. I very quickly purchased the "Bestway Flowclear 1,000 Gallons Per Hour 120 Volt Above Ground Swimming Pool Water Filter Pump Cartridge with Automatic Shut Off Timer" pump to replace the one that comes with this pool. This larger pump fits the same exact hoses at the pump that comes with this pool, so switching the pump was very simple. It's a much better pump, and I got lucky and got it for a very good deal! Second, you're going to want a pad for under the pool. I got a 12-foot round pool liner pad so that it would be larger than the pool, and I think that was a good choice. Third, you'll obviously want a skimmer net, but I also bought a Sepetrel 2023 Upgraded Swimming Pool Spa Jet Vacuum Cleaner with Brush & 56" Pole. This is basically a manual pool vacuum that hooks up to your garden hose. I like it because I basically end up topping off the pool water while vacuuming the pool. Fourth, chlorine. I've ordered 1 inch tablets to go in a floater, but I started with granules because tablets were just not in stock. I actually quite like the granules - not sure if I'll stick w/ tablets or granules or both. It's probably good to have both in case the tablets just aren't enough for heavy-use days. Last but not least, you'll want some pool tester strips. I'm using the JNW 7-Way Pool Test Strips, and I really like them. They've helped me maintain the chlorine levels. i've needed to add more granules every day - especially after the kids use the pool. Oh wait - also, I got a cover...but I'm not using that yet. Still, I'm sure I'll be glad to have it in time. That's all I've got! I researched pools to death before purchasing this one, and I'm happy with my purchase! I'll likely drain the pool at the end of the season and set it back up again next year assuming it survives the children lol. RIP my water bill though. Probably. (It took about 4 hours to fill) ... show more

We have had inflatable pools a few seasons, the cats puncture them when they just try and drink water and you don’t get much for your money. Enter this incredible pool. At this price there wasn’t much to lose, but I have been beyond impressed. We have been beating it up with 6+ neighborhood kids for weeks. The filter obviously doesn’t do much, but you keep the chlorine up and no problems. We had a proper inground pool at our old house, this is better from a functional lifestyle perspective. Can’t wait to roll it up and use it again next summer. It’s stupid how impressed I am with this. We put this at the bottom of our playhouse slide so the kids would use the playhouse again. I purchased the 12x30 Bestway pool for my 10 and 5yr old kids for the summer. So far we’ve had it up the entire month of June and it’s worked GREAT for us! The set up was easy and only took less than 30 minutes with 2 people. The filling of the pool took over 2 hours for us. I gave this pool 4 stars because of the cheap pool filter. The filter is just not strong enough for this size pool. Having it up 2 1/2 weeks so far and we’ve had to clean the filter once and I just ordered filter replacements. The pump is doing its job, just at a very slow pace! If you hear a loud noise coming from the pump, or if you see the output pressure is minimal, it’s time to change your dirty filter. Overall I am very pleased with this pool and look forward to it lasting all summer (hopefully it does). ... show more

I purchased this pool. This will be the second one. We cannot wait to install it, easy to install the pump functions really well it’s got a quality build. It’s very sturdy. We bought this size to float and enjoy the summer sun. It’s 30 inches deep. it’s a very good quality Functions very well, I actually bought the pool mat to go underneath it and we plan to leave it up here around this year. We are going to build a permanent deck around it. I can’t wait to float this summer, my husband and I are teachers, and we look forward to relaxing at home this summer. , This is for us as adults the kids try to also use it, but we are normally in it most the time, it has a very good quality of material and the money value because I’m not having to take the kids places to swim This is for kids and adults. Little time to set it up but it’s a great pool for the cost and the family loves it every year. Pool itself seems like good qaulity idk about the hoses for the pump though I replaced them after the first year for leaks.
