I bought this so thatI could rest when I work outside. I have severe lower back issues and can’t stay on my feet for long. It is also difficult for me to get up from a kneeling position . I was hoping this would help at least a little. I tried it out in my TV room first and it work ok there. So, on to the garden. It works like a champ. It is plenty sturdy and a perfect height for sitting. Did I mention I am 6’ snd 300 lbs! I use it for kneeling and can push myself up very well. I also use a pad for my knees most of the time and use the seat to support my upper body as I lean over. I was so impressed with it, I bought another for my wife. It is worth the price for me. Well, it is now late August. I found a few quality issues with this product. The frame bends after a few times of leaning on the seat. The foam starts to split and give way at the sides. The plastic supports don’t last long with the stress and the screws come out. So, unless you are a small person, this may not be for you. ... show more

This is the second one of these that I've bought. The first one was several years ago. For an old guy with bad knees, this is a terrific product. However both have a major flaw which is that the kneeler part is made from cheap honeycombed plastic. The first one I bought lasted a little while until the honeycombed plastic center cracked and caved in. When that happened, I hurt my knee. I then replaced it with wood which helped, but then one of the welds broke which I had fixed but the folding part didn't work after that. I wanted to have a second one that would fold so I could take camping to use when I needed to do stuff low on the RV, like draining the tanks. This one lasted for only three kneels on it and the plastic broke. I have since replaced the honeycomb plastic with a piece of hard wood cut to the same size and we'll see how long that lasts. I would like to suggest to the manufacturer that the honeycomb frame should be replaced with an aluminum honeycombed structure. It would probably be almost as light and improve the strength. It might raise the cost a little, but would make them last longer and people might not get hurt! ... show more

I really like this garden kneeler as it is becoming more and more difficult to get up in my later years. Worked very well for the first several uses and then the cheap plastic between the two cushions broke. I considered returning, but my husband is very handy, fortunately. He took it apart and put a sturdy piece of pine between the cushions and now when I kneel on it, it is even more sturdy than the original. If you have a handy person in your life, I would order this with the possibility of needing to fortify. ... show more

I have used this kneeler for many years now. I'm 74 now and beginning to have knee and lower back aches and pains, especially when I garden. In fact, my orthopedic doc told me that gardening was probably the hardest activity I could be doing at my age (and that was in my 60's !).
