I decided to purchase this item for my dorm to provide a little extra privacy and was worried it wouldn’t fit the XL Twin bed that’s most universities provide (5 inches longer than typical twin bed) YES THIS DOES FIT AN XL TWIN. So far it has been very cozy and great for when I need to stay up late without bothering my roommate. They also sent a string of battery-powered lights with clips that make it very cute. We gave this bed tent to our daughter for her 4th birthday and it was a hit! She has a double bed (converted crib) and the full/queen fits perfect. The material is thin but it’s what I would call normal tent material and feels strong. The pink color is so pretty! There is little hook at the top that we hung a plastic battery operated lantern from. Update January 2020: it’s been one year since we gave this to our daughter. It’s been great! It’s so durable her and her brother and friends have played in and out of it so often and no ripping no zipper issues (they zip and unzip in constantly) this is truly a durable tent. It’s a great buy and I’m so glad we got this for my daughter. She was afraid of all the toys in her room at night, for the past year it hasn’t been a problem thanks to this tent, it’s her own night time domain. Update 2021: this tent is still going strong! I love this bed tent. I’m trying to keep the heat down to save some $ this winter. This tent keeps the chill air off at night and I really like the extra darkness and smaller sleep space. It is easy to get on and off the bed. I keep the one side open but will pull them closed on a really cold night. I will most likely pack it away in the Spring. But it’s 30 degrees outside today and will be in the 20’s tonight. I am positive I will be nice and warm in this tent. I’m 60 and it isn’t just for kids. I have a toddler who hates her bed, so she always ends up in mine. I've pulled out all the stops to make her bed as soft and cozy and girly and luxurious as possible with no success. Her bed is better than mine, now. Lol We love this tent! I think she enjoys the cacoon feeling. We got some color changing LED strip lights after this photo was taken, and now she really loves it. Finally, she stays in her bed and I don't have to wake up to a foot in the face. And It's so much cuter than other ones I've seen! It's durable. Easy to assemble. I purchased a grey one and a pink one as a surprise for my kids. They love it! Easy enough to assemble and move around. At first I was panicked because I was like "how in the world do I set this up?" I went to a youtube vid but it wasn't until after several replays that I actually got it. In the back of my mind, I was praying not to break one of the rods. The setup was brutal. I did it alone. But when I did, I was like a kid in a candy store. This was the absolute best sleep I have had in months. It gives s sense of security and privacy that I couldn't ever imagine. The material is thick enough for privacy yet sheer enough to see. I literally slept the entire night through. I wished I had this years ago. It helps with restorative sleep. The price was a bit of a sting. It appears to be durable. I'm a big girl and my son crawled in with me and it held up. I'll choke in later to see how it holds up over time. But for now, I'm in deep true love of this product😍 ... show more

I was very very picky when picking out a bed tent for my son. I looked at many tents and read reviews on all of them. I eventually decided on this one. Below is a list of the things that I was looking for: 1. It had to be able to fit over the mattress. Many other bed tents require you to build the tent and then place the mattress inside of it afterward. Since my son's bed is a loft bed, I can't easily remove/replace the mattress. With this tent, you simply build it and then slide it over the mattress. Easy! It fit perfectly!! 2. It had to be tall enough to sit up in. I found that many children's bed tents are small. At best, a child can maybe sit up in the center of the bed but then the top slopes downward. This tent is plenty tall enough for even me to sit up in... even if I sit at the end of the bed! 3. Temperature. With all the windows/doors closed, it stays very warm! But don't worry about getting too hot either because there are doors on both long sides and a window on the short side. Plenty of choices for ventilation. I didn't use the included lights so I can't comment on them. However, my son has a bunch of key chain stuffed animals and he hung them all up on the hooks inside. It was really fun and made a great play area! It is not hard to set up or take down. I'm glad set-up is easy because I put the tent up for about a week, take it down, then put it up again a month later. The poles are quite long which could be a little tough if setting it up in a small space. I'm extremely please with this tent! I think you will be too. :) ... show more

I LOVE this product! It gives privacy, is sturdy, and my kid loves it! I bought the gray tent and then purchased the mesh afterwords. I honestly wish I could have a tent for my own bed! Once you understand how to put the tent together-it’s a breeze (directions are sewed onto the container bag) The seller is amazing, very helpful, prompt, and understanding.
