My daughter had a loft, but in the past few weeks, had started sleeping under it. She said she preferred the secure feeling of being under the bed, so I began looking at bed tents. This tent fits under her mattress because the bottom is open. The flaps stay securely at the sides, which as a safety measure, I wanted. (I didn't want to have to struggle to get in the tent if she had one of her seasonal allergy nosebleeds.) She loves this tent and sleeps so soundly inside of it. I am hoping once the school year begins we have easier nights getting to sleep. I will say, I know how to assemble a tent, and this took some work because the shape is a little different than I am used to. So this took longer than I would have liked, but ilonce it was up, we were good to go. I would recommend this tent for any child who wants that added feeling of security. ... show more

The tent was so easy to set up. The only thing that we would change is the vent material at the top of the tent doesn't give as much ventilation as we hoped for.

I work nights. So sleeping during the day is an issue. This tent blocks alot of light. I recommend using a fan at one end, as it does get stuffy inside.

I got this for my son's twin size bed. It fit over it great but it doesn't secure well and slips down sometimes. Most if a side gets pushed on by accident. Have to scan a code on the box to get instructions. It's a little tricky but not the hardest thing to put together. Make sure to put the polls through all the loops. I did pinch my fingers a few times when I clipped on the polls. Also came with some fairy lights to hang up. I have noticed it gets pretty hot inside the tent when it's all closed up. Overall I really like the tent. I was hesitant to buy because of the price but I feel it was worth it for all the fun my son has had and how well it has functioned. ... show more

Our 9 y/o daughter has difficulty in open sleeping spaces. She would often sleep in the hallway on the floor because her room was too big for her, even though it's not a huge room. We decided on this tent after looking at several different canopy options. She loves it because she can close it up completely if she wants, or she can open any of the sides. I don't know that I'd get this for a kid who just wants to hang out in a tent sometimes. It'd be too cumbersome to take it on and off very often. It's not super easy to work around once it's up, in terms of sitting on the bed with her or changing the sheets. And the zipper on one side broke within the first week or so because of the way it stays connected to the mattress and her not knowing how to handle a tight zipper. It would have been avoidable if an adult was helping, it was just disappointing to have it break quickly. So far that's been the only mechanical problem, though. ... show more

Love the tent, it's pretty self explanatory to set up. The bars criss cross at the top to form an X and you put them through the holes down the sides of the tent. It was a little rough as I had to really pull on the fabric to get the poles to go in the bottom corner pockets of the tent and was worried about it ripping but so far so good. The only thing wrong was I received an extra tent storage bag instead of the tablet holder pouch. I messaged the seller and am waiting for a response. Will update review if they are able to resolve it. **Update- seller responded same day as my inquiry for the missing tablet pouch and sent it out. I received it soon after :) ... show more
