I have several of these at home for 2+ years already. Love them and have not experienced any issues with them. I have one on my computer desk, one by the TV, and one on my nightstand. All the places where you expect multiple lamps and electronics to be plugged in. When I’m expected to be away for a prolong trip, I can shut everything off with one click of the power button on each surge protector. With the covid 19 outbreak, I’m staying at a friend’s house since my noisy apartment made it impossible for me to work from home, but my company still expects everyone to be at full capacity working from home. I’m buying everything I forgot to pack and having them shipped to to my friend’s house. This is one of those things I had to order when I realized how limited wall outlets are (there were only two and one was already occupied) by kitchen the table where I sit to work. With this surge protector, I can have my work laptop, my work phone, my personal phone, my battery pack, my godson’s laptop and my goddaughter’s laptop all plugged in at the same time without having to fight over wall outlets. I like the design of this one better than some of the other surge protectors made by the same company. There’s space around two of the outlets at the end to accommodate bigger plugs, very thoughtful since certain electronics have the giant plugs that hog a whole wall outlet. There are 4 total USB ports, two of them are quick charge ports, great for charging cellphones and battery packs. This is one of those necessities you set up and forget about, and only realize it’s missing when your start to experience the inconveniences without it. Thanks to Amazon Prime, I only suffered for the first two days of this week. If you want a good power strip, don't buy this one. If you want a GREAT powerstrip, by all means get this power strip. I can not imagine how many power strips I have had over the years, but at home and at work. All of them served the purpose of power distribution and some isolation of power spikes. I can only think of a few that have failed over the years. However, I was looking for something that had the 2.4 Amp charging ports. The conventional charging bricks that come with most devices was "...driving me a bit bonkers...". They were large and bulky necessitating multiple strips to serve the same purpose. The designers of this product likely had experienced the same problem. He or she put some effort of thought into this unit. - The receptacles are space appropriately. - The ground of each plug is faced to the outer edge on both sides - many power strips do not do this which further creates problems - Each plug has plastic inserts that guard against probling little fingers, or objects from dropping into the holes and creating a shock hazard. The plastic inserts cause a little effort when plugging in a cord, but it is well worth it. - The USB ports have both 2.4 amp and 1.0 amp and provide continuous amperage (I tested this) to my devices when they all are plugged in. - The cord is very heavy duty and of ample length (6 ft) - Pilot lights for the internal breaker and power is the right size (not blinding for night vision) and the led indicator for the USB is a nice touch I cannot speak to the surge protection as I just got it, but given that my older ones are questionable (at best), I am optimistic that this quality unit will live up to expectations handily. What matters in a power strip you may say? A lot when you go to use it and it isn't designed properly. This is a very good unit and worthy of the price point. I've now had this Power Strip in continuous use for 8 months and have become quite happy with it. The quality turns out to be very good compared to others I've had. The good features continue to please and a bit of rearrangement has allowed me to plug in everything I needed for my home-office desk. The USB charging feature works well and is very useful. The Power Strip has survived a couple of brown-outs and a blackout. I think the blackout included a surge (we weren't home at the time but neighbors complained that some of their outlets were affected). An additional good feature I can report on is that the customer support is excellent. The seller acknowledged my review and quickly answered my concerns as well as assuring me that they are there for any other questions or concerns if any were to arise. *** I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND THE SELLER. *** Quality seems OK. For my use the cord length was too long, however a very nice feature is the 90° plug. The layout is a bit funny; 2 of the 8 outlets are spaced away from the other 6. This is a good feature required to fit wall worts, but the spacing for my needs was too large. I would have preferred that the spacing of all the outlets be larger so I could use more of the smaller wall worts. ... show more
